End off depth right at that sweet spot

That'd be a hell of a deal. I'm quite attached to the idea of Weightman but that's a deal I'd take anyway. Josh Worrell, Jeremy Sharp, and then a late draft small forward like Lowson or Thorne would patch us up really nicely.

Pick 13 is proving very very popular. 2 teams in particular have made significant offers (including one offer of 2 picks inside 20) to move up.

Don’t surprised if we don’t end up picking at 13.

I don’t know who we’re targeting (and wouldn’t share it if I did), but it looks like we’ll wait and see if that players still on the board at 13 before deciding whether to move the pick or not.

Kemp and Robertson are the 2 that teams want to move up to try and land.

Presumably the offer of 2 picks inside 20 would be from Port (16&18). Geelong the only other in that range and 14&17 makes no sense from their perspective.

IMO we would be mad not to take that deal (explains the late Bianco interview?).

Port definitely jumping ahead of any Mead bid by getting 13. I would have thought the Gold Coast at 15 and 20 also fit the bill, as Robertson would be perfect for them.

If we did end up snagging those two top 20 picks, it could seriously still mean getting Weightman with 15 or 16 (since Geelong/GC/Port would more likely take guys like Kemp, Bergman and Robertson). Basically means we still get the guy we want (Small forward) while getting a winger too (Bianco). Just leaves a KPP at the last pick

fu** I'd be keen to go for that. I like Weightman at Pick 13, but I much prefer getting two comparable quality players.

The only teams with two top 20 picks are Gold Coast (15 and 20, and have said they want to trade up) and Port (16 and 18). I wouldn't be surprised if GC are eyeing off Kemp, and Port eyeing off Bergman/Day. This is looking like it's going to get very interesting.

Every chance that Weightman is available at 15 or 16 anyway.
Don't think Geelong would be interested if the other of Kemp/Robertson is still available and GC who knows?

This is a discussion thread. You posted your opinion about our first round picks being genuine guns. I posted my opinion about Hrovat not being a genuine gun.

I added some extra info to my post about earlier first round picks (who definitely weren't great choices).

My motivation was to have a discussion.

In response, you told me I was wrong about Hrovat being a first round pick and when I refuted this you told me I had "inaccuracies in every statement" I was making.

What was your motivation in having a go at me over something I wasn't wrong about in the first place?

Yeah if its ok I just find it hard to get excited about future picks as I don’t know them.

This is one of the times we do know our first rounder next year, and he's a gun.

The motivation might be that if we snagged an extra 1st rounder (say Pick 10) to go along with our pick, it could allow us to jump ahead of a JUH bid like GWS have done with Green. Or just pays for a huge target. I'll never shy away from a good deal Although an extra 1st this year would definitely be preferrable

Geelong have 14 and 17 as well. Wonder if Weightman slides to pick 14/16 anyway meaning we essentially get a free hit with the second pick thrown our way...
