That's the thing. They say you can't do this, you can't do that - but any club can make a submission and the AFL don't seem to reject too many (see Geelong not having a 1st for 4 straight years iirc). You would just have to prove the method in your madness

This from the final draft order says it all:

* An adjustment to GWS recognising deficit points used in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft (Kieren Briggs), offset by surplus points from the 2015 NAB AFL Draft (Jacob Hopper) moving GWS from third round (55) to fourth round (57).

2015 surplus? The points are more made up than an episode of Whose Line Is It Anyway

I like the look of Byrnes and Perez with our first pick. Nick Bryan as a ruckman, Emerson Jeka as tall both look to be worth a punt also.

The official draft order that came out today says we have 51, 76, 82.
Surely that means it's correct

Just do not tell the Swans as it was part of the trade deal for Jones.

Sydney receives a second-round pick (currently No.32), a fourth-round pick (currently No.76) and a future third-round selection (tied to Fremantle) from St Kilda.

Ah penny dropped. AFL has now amended the drafted order to remove empty picks and swap some picks from previous year trades (points).
So pick 100 is 82, 82 is 76 and 51 is well still 51!

Darcy Chirgwin might be a go. 191cm midfielder who wins plenty of it and does the defensive stuff. Good overhead and missed the Championships with a nasty ankle and leg injury. Sandy player. He grew up as a KPP so he’s only still quite new to the midfield but he’s improved a lot in a short time. Not sure where he goes though.

I've done all my research and I've settled on either Matt Rowell or Noah Anderson with pick 51

Not gonna be overly ambitious as I don't think either will last till 76

Forget Chirgwin. He was just on 3SENAW FM announcing he was pulling out of the Draft and retiring from footy due to terminal shin splints

The Liam Henry bid will eat up picks 49, 58, 66, 73 and turn them into about 18.
The Finn Maginess bid will eat up picks 42, 50 and turn them into about 25.

So 51 should come in one or two, say 50.
76 should come in to something like 69.
82 should come in to something like 74.

Still terrible picks but I guess slightly less terrible.
