Unfortunately they set the club up correctly taking a lot of pain first couple of years .

Every time they trade a player they get 2 further draft picks .

Add in: Hately, Caldwell, Bonar & Green who haven’t played a game basically. They’ll lose some as they get older, simply don’t have enough room to play them all. It’s beyond unfair.

Absolutely. Minus his injuries, but they will heal, I love Caldwell. Think he’s an absolute star in years to come. Bytel, Caldwell, King all coming through would set us up. Hopefully Coff & Clark to build and still years of Gresh, Billings and Marshall. Dominant.

I've warmed to Caldwell after thinking about trading for Draper. An injury prone mid is better than an injured ruck.

As much as this year has had its ups and downs (the last couple of months really down) - the fact we have King, Bytel and whoever we pick up at pick 5(ish) next year is pretty exciting. Couple that into finding the best young ruck in the league, a new start from the coaches box without any of the overhead stresses that come with that and I’m damn excited for next year.

Yeah agreed. The boys seem to really like him as well. Lade has been the father figure to them this year which has surprised me. If Rats is the man, I hope Lade is senior assistant. Should be very smooth as you said.

Almost all of our best players are under 23. Most of the hard yards are done now.

To be honest he doesn’t have a heap to do. Been there for years working his way up, but even though his title is strong, it’s really Lethers that does that role.

You’d hope so. This year will make it 8 years out of the finals so post last finals we played we’ve been building since the 2011 draft.
