It was the same knock on Worpel though.
All in all we're not to know, but I'll back Libba and Co, post Trout.

With Hind, Parker, Jimmy and Coff our pace issues are largely fixed except for a quick insider, (Jones*) and Hunter and Bytel have very very clean hands already.

I tend to think this year is our last chance to load up on some top young mids as the next 2 firsts will be allocated to Bing, and after that we'd want to be starting our finals run.

If we can basically swap Bruce for Hill, I'd want to see us demand a 1st from the Cats for Stuv + change.

For our needs 2x first round mids plus Biggie is about right. We have another NGA get next year and since our balance will be better we can just get back to cherry picking talant with later picks.

Who is our NGA for next year?

Should bave been included in above post. ScrappyDo, who is our NGA for nexxt year, and what is he?
He's the younger of the Owens brothers IIRC. The older one Kai plays at with the Zebs and looks a handy type arount 193cm.
Half Japanese l think.
That's all l know Bsz. I think l read it in a Cal Toomey article months ago..

If we still have a pick in the top ten come draft day what do people think of going for Kemp. I don't mind taking a risk on an injured kid, from Judd to Selwood and the Bont there always seems to be a player in a draft year with an injury that worries clubs but i think the way we are positioned why not take the gamble.
Yeah, I’d take Kemp but would prefer Ash who’s highlights look very good both off a hbf and through the midfield. Good contested ball, marking, quick with good disposal both by hand and foot.

Check out Dylan Williams. He is projected as a late first but last year was touted as a top 3 pick. Injury and form has had him slide, but his highlights look unreal. Hff like Stevie J meets J Stephenson. Can role through the midfield and looks good there.

Think its this lad who was only 14 last year and is on the Sandringham Dragons U16 development squad - so if he is picked up it wont be next year as he is still too young.

I stand corrected then. He's 3 years away so it means SFA.

Agree everything re zones I did hear a rumour that Josh Worrel was elidgable to us as a NGA but there were some admin problems from our end which prevented us getting him witch is highly disappointing

If true the club needs to rectify this **** up post haste

Richmond's is the most insane part of that map TBH.

How 1 Vic team gets priority access to the entire Murray region is beyond me.

The draft will never be open but **** me dead, some teams just cannot properly compete with these BS systems.

I have to say, just seeing Liam Henry he would look PERFECT in a Saints guernsey.

Unfortunately he'll have to try to rock the purple.

Is Hayden Young any relation to Matt Young? Twomey's Phantom Draft has him going top 5.
his son.. and matt Young played 99 games for the saints...

not to mention Dean Anderson playing 60 odd games... his son Noah will go pick 1 or 2

almost 2 top 5 f/s picks this year

If we keep pick 5 (trading a future 1st for Hill) I want Sam Flanders. As a goal kicking mid I think he would compliment Dunstan and Steele working inside while Hill and Billings work out. He would rotate with Gresham in a 70/30 split mid/forward.

If we end up with 12 from the Dogs for Bruce then Luke Jackson please. Marshall is elite but we wont have much underneath. Jackson could be just as good, if not better (seriously LOOK at those numbers!), which would give us some insane weapons rotating ruck/forward. Worst case is he develops and we trade him back home for an improved price.

If Jack Steven gets us pick 22ish then Miles Bergman or Trent Rivers. Both of these guys sound like exactly what we need: Midfield talent that is ready to play. Either of them would work in with the pieces we have currently.

If we have 25ish from Freo in the Hill deal then Bergman, Rivers, Jeremy Sharp or Cooper Stephens. Again, we need midfield talent that can come in and generate some excitement. Stephens would be a risk but why not take it?

Any highish pick needs to be spent on mids.

We've got a 23 year old quality ruckman, no need to spend a high pick on another ruck.

We desperate for a quality mid and we are much more likely to get that with a high pick.

Agreed. I just look at Jackson's numbers and feel like he is going to be Grundy 2.0

Rucks would have to be one of the riskier ways to burn a draft pick.
Them and key forwards :/
