Sounds like most clubs at the top of the draft outside of GC are keen to work their pick back in the draft as they see it so even.

I like the look of a pick in the early 20's if we caj get one.

I'd also be willing to trade next years second for one this year.

Trading next years 2nd or thirds might be a good option as sounds like pletny of clubs will be in need of NGA and F/S points.
Could be a good opportunity for us, as per usual we have bugger all on the father-son and academy radar.

St Kilda NGA prospect Bigoa Nyuon ran the 20-metre sprint in 2.855 seconds today at the Victorian state Draft Combine. Would have seen him win the national Combine test.

and he's been playing since auskick, not like some basketball convert.

If we somehow get an early enough pick , i'd still like us to end up with Robertson, or if we end up with a second rounder or thereabouts, maybe Ryan Byrnes.

This year in the NAB League he averaged 11 touches, 4 marks and 13 hit outs. Just going by his stats he seemed to play as a key forward, ruck and key defender. So he'll either be developed as a utility or be given a single role. Not quite tall enough to be a proper ruck even though he is very athletic but he can probably do a decent job as second ruck.

Thanks for posting this. Biggy is Gach's little brother? What a story, and what an amazing woman the mum must be to get their family so far. We forget just how tough some have it. Really hope it works out for Biggy.

Yeah, I think most likely we grab a state league ruck and project mids. Personally I'd grab mature state league mids like Partington or Hibberd, with the aim of having a robust and competitive next level, but I suspect we're more likely to grab Langlands types.

Think he will go earlier .

But doubt we pick another long term rehab prospect for a while.


Pretty content with avoiding draft entirely next 2 years myself , rather chase guys that have
been in the system for me , speeds up improvement .

Would be putting a lot of work into Briggs , Caldwell , obviously Ben King , Ben Ainsworth ,
in the next year or so offering them overs on contract length .

Really important we get Ryder , Howard , Jones done will really establish us as a destination
club...
