Agree with that but do you really need him with McCarthy , Cameron , Keays , Christensen etc
Keays isn’t a small forward. He’s an inside mid who has been pushed in to the forward line due to us having a lot of young inside mids who are potentially better.

We might also view Ah Chee as a rebounding defender. Especially if he has good speed.

And Christensen is out of contract, and probably only gets one more year. Ah Chee might be his replacement.

Why do people hate on Brandon Ellis so much? Seems a pretty handy outside runner to me with 173 games of experience, an AA nomination, second in the BnF a few years back and got 20 games this year in arguably the best side in the comp.

He is a vanilla squib, very poor contested ball winner, never hard at the contest. Regularly pulls out of contests instead of putting his body on the line. Not a great ball user, he has looked good at Richmond with a fairly good midfield but wouldn’t be great for us.

That's the majority of wingmen though. They are there to play a role. I think you are exaggerating a tad. You don't come second in a coach voted BnF by being a squib. Seems like a group think whipping boy situation to me.

It’s little consolation, but at least we’re easy to deal with.

Noble and Ambrogio just get trades done.

What do believe he’s worth? We’ve got a late second an early and late third round pick.
We helped out with Jared Lyons last year, so I imagine your club will also be obliging this year in return.
There may be a player in there.
Time will tell..

Our 2nd back and you can have our 3rd Rd pick

Agree with most of this, but I’m starting to turn. Possibly in desperation.

But I do think his style as a defensive wingman could get him a hell of a lot of the pill playing for us. Plus he is a best 22 player. And we need more of them.

Might create a bit of argy-bargy with Weller though, fighting over prime spot for the change room mirror.

Internally Starcevich is viewed as Hodges replacement in defence.

Bailey is a long term midfielder. Cox is highly regarded, just has to work on the pace of the game.

I can’t see the club letting any of those kids leave. - But if we offer actual game time, it might be tempting for some who are clearly back in the pack. They might ask to leave.

Who might be available.
Lewy Taylor - NEAFL player
Ben Keays - NEAFL player
Corey Lyons - NEAFL player
Josh Walker - solid depth player

What about Lester? Seems to be a good leader - might be useful from that capacity.

So fast forward 2 years - do you think your team might look something like this. Plus the new draftees of course.

Gardiner Adams Witherden
Starcevich Andrews Rich
Mccluggage Neale Robinson (Bailey)
Rayner Mcstay Ah Chee
Cameron Hipwood McCarthy

Mcinerny Berry Zorko

Bench: Answerth, Lyons, Cox, Bailey

Depth: Mathieson, Ely Smith, Robertson, Mcfadyen, Joyce, Hinge, Ballenden, Berry - some of these guys would have to realise that they are back in the pack and with no real spots up for grabs - Robinson the only one who may retire - Zorko too I suppose - have left off Christensen, Cutler, Martin, Keays as they will be gone.

I probably sit around where you do. You are right in a sense Supersuns I just feel like the group think has caused his issues to be exaggerated a bit. I think for us he is definitely a worthwhile pursuit. We desperately need outside run and senior players.

Ah Chee-he’s been taken in by the club and the players. He’s never had a proper run at it with inconsistent form, injury and taking personal leave But all that time he’s been well paid.

Yeah he’s an Ingate who is taking the weak option of selling out his mates and us fans to get easy success.

You know what that makes him???

Correct....another lowly bedwetter to have utter disdain for.

Well hurry up then and get out of our city then. Ta da Ah Chee. Very poor.

Lester is our NEAFL Hodge. Honestly not sure if he sees a future beyond the Lions.

Will have to answer the rest of your question later.

We do need run and carry but I’d prefer us to look at Isaac Smith over Ellis. Smith is faster, a better ball user and a better leader. Ellis is not overly quick just finds lots of space in a Tigs midfield that is overladen with talent

Ah Chee rebounding defender along with Rich, Witherden, Starcevich,

Coleman might be looking for games at some point in the next 2 years - given he's already been killing it in the NEAFL - he's another half forward in the mix.

Good problem to have a stacked side! Just think that there will be players who are AFL worthy who will be playing NEAFL for you and therefore might be open to offers involving more playing time.

Think the Brisbane Ah Chee thing is a classic example of taking talent when it's available.
Brisbane have a glut of half forwards / rebounding defenders yet they are still into him.

I think we should be taking the same approach if talent is interested in coming here - for the right salary that is..

Another Clayton disaster.
We lose two top ten draft picks in 24 hours with no chance of getting similar picks in return-so difficult to make any progress.
To me the most important people in clubs are Recruiting officer and list managers.Their decision can make o break a club.
Ditto - Brisbane great decisions
Port -bloody awful.

You know what gives me the faeces?
Ok I’ll tell you.
Whenever we’ve had the fan forums over the years to discuss the poo Sandwich that is our club we have had
Cochrane Eade Evans Auldist Cordy And even the leadership group front up and talk to us

You know who never did???

Ok I’ll tell you....that weasel Scott Clayton always stayed down in Melbourne and not once fronted up to us about his decisions.

I’d love to give him a piece of my mind.
