I'm not sure a 34 year old betts and 36 year old silk makes us a destination club for indigenous talent when our two most talented indigenous boys want out. I think that narrative has been blown out the water a bit. But their experience and leadership will improve our football club as a whole

Ellis would be a fantastic addition. I can't think of a sun who would match his output over the past 5 years? And is still young enough to take us fwd.

Hi Guys , I have been around quitely reading but not posting much here but thought i would post as its about 2 Richmond player
Kamdyn McIntosh - Has not really been out of favour but more being re programmed to have a more defensive aspect to his game, Should be back in the line up soon imo and has just signed a 2 year deal. But anything is possible these days with player movement and you guys always have good picks so could tempt.

Brandon Ellis - Pretty much a free hit if the Suns can convince him to mve, He is a bit of a home boy and would probably prefer to stay in melb but would be a good fit for the suns and wouldnt mind betting his usual output is probably better than J.Martin and you wouldnt miss much
Im not a massive fan of his but can see the benefit for a lower based team trying to get some senior experience and culture


Is Bod's still as grumpy as he used to be or has he settled down these days

I agree with this. Don't think there's any player i would personally inbox or say something negative on the way out. They've made their decision an angry message can only push them further. I'm always gutted when a player leaves though especially a young guy like Ah Chee.

I’m confused about the Ah Chee one. Since he arrived at the club he’s always maintained he absolutely loves it. Now after one difficult year he wants out but not apparently home? Must be more to the story.

Putrid seems harsh, he's always had potential and I think he's really developed himself as a player and as a professional athlete.

Agree with bums on seats, and again, these 2 WILL improve us, not just in 2020 but could lay foundations that last years.. I just dont think that these 2 playing 1 or 2 years with us will see a massive influx of other high end indigenous talent wanting to come here, however as we improve I'd suggest a lot of the afl will be looking at the gold coast as the attractive proposition it is.

Greenwood seems a really nice guy, and a reliable footballer, but in my head is depth when we have a full squad

Agree. Even following the Brisbane Bears from when they entered the competition back in 1987 was an easier task than this. The lack of social media back then probably made life as a Bears supporter easier.
The Suns get attacked and maligned from every angle, often unfairly.

I will confirm the contrary. The immediate family are much more impressed with the SUNS and what the Gold Coast in general has to offer than St Kilda. I don't know what Max thinks, what Ben thinks or what either club thinks. But the King families vote so far goes to the SUNS

I think it is something that should happen. Unlike most boards we have not had an official catch up. I think every poster, except the obvious duplicate accounts, knows a few other posters. But to organise an official catch up at a game would be grand!

Although a top 8 pick, his draft profile wasn't fantastic either with questions marks around his engine, a really poor 18's championships and goes missing in games. He was tipped to go 13-25 from memory.
Not much has changed really since he's arrived.
p.s - he's a great kid though and would like him to stay but on our terms and market value $$$.

I'm not sure what his chronic issues are but I sometimes think players managers families and Clubs obsess over injuries to the point it becomes difficult to ever heal them
After 22yoa if you've played sport all your life are you ever really injury free in your life again?

A player with speed and skill, which is making us even worse off in an area we are already poor.
