Exactly!A player with speed and skill, which is making us even worse off in an area we are already poor.
Who are these speedy, skilful players that we need to pay more to retain at Cal’s expense? Heron? Dawson? GHS? Murdoch?
Ah Chee to Brisbane is done, the offer is significantly better than what we were doing, he is a DEW fan so not leaving on bad terms just Brisbane throwing a lot more at him than we did.
i also was told that Martin was set to leave for quite a while which is not surprising but is a fact
So he's Corey Ellis except he has more ability and experience? Aren't those the two things the Suns need most? Masten isn't the most consistent player but he is a winner, he knows what it is to win a premiership. Given the rumour mill has linked the Suns to players in far worse physical condition like Jones and Betts, you could do worse than Masten.I would not take Masten or Gibbs. Masten is essentially another Corey Ellis. Just a bit better with some more experience.
I doubt it. I think it's a reasonable price for Martin, but Ah Chee has fewer runs on the board. 35 & 42 seems more like his value.Maybe Brisbane can be so kind and send our 2nd rounder back for Ah Chee

He’ll end up being a bigger loss for us than Lyons I feel. This has disaster written all over it. Would love to know the dollar differential and why the club has justified letting him go.Pretty annoyed about losing Ah Chee. One of the only blokes on the list with pace and good disposal. Just couldnt get him on the park. Can see the commentators next year giving us s**t for letting him go already!

The IT guy has his fingerprints all over this I reckonHe’ll end up being a bigger loss for us than Lyons I feel. This has disaster written all over it. Would love to know the dollar differential and why the club has justified letting him go.
We'll see. Neither you nor I are making the decision. But I reckon my predictions are more accurate than yours.Martin is pick 6-10
Ah Chee 19-22
I don't know yet if he had other reasons within the club to leave but I do know it isn't Stewie it may be we don't see value in him long term like Lions do, there were "some" personal issues going on with him this year so that's been kept very quietWe keep throwing away talent and in this case talent that wanted to stay. Which is flabbergasting
Bods, If you mean whether he goes to Lions or not I had it confirmed 100% by someone very close to him yesterday its done. They wouldn't tell me until he told the team he was looking at options but they knew beforehandIf he believed in himself, his mates and the cause then he’d back himself in, take the shorter contract and fight to make his next contract a more substantial pay day where he really cashes in on his ability.
He’s gone the soft option, easy success and longer contract with more money in the short term.
And that’s if and only if the latest conjecture is entirely true.....which it won’t be.
as the mexican girl says "both" supposedly too good to turn downMore money? More years? Both?

They certainly could. But I'd only resort to that if the offer was really insulting. A late first or early second for Martin can bring in a player of similar proven ability at senior level, and that's nothing to sneer at. I think the same is true of Ah Chee for something around pick 30. Perhaps the club thinks that fair, perhaps they think it's insulting, who knows? If Suns wanted to play hard ball and don't see value in pick 40 they could just send him to the draft and he could put a price on his head and see if he lasts to pick 40 in ND or to pick 15-16 in PSD for the Lions.
It's not as if we've recruited a number of guns butMissed a one Anthony Miles

I'm in the same ball park with their value.A balanced assessment by you.
I see Martin as 15-25
I see Ah Chee as 25-35
After Lions got Lyons for nothing last year there is a tax to pay in terms of what they need to give for Cal.
I would be asking the Lions to either split one of their top 20 picks to get us a top 30 pick or give us our 2nd back for Cal and our 3rd Rd pick.
