A high end PP is not a good look and not something to celebrate b/c it means we have been poor for a while and there are underlying problems.

But had a quick look at the top 2 players in Cal Twomey's form guide.
Looking good as a pair.
Real good.

We should find out next week, once the AFL finds a spot of dirty air with lots of other news to distract the punters.

Martin Arthur Armstrong is an American self-taught economic forecaster who uses his own computer model based on pi. He was convicted in 1999 of cheating investors out of seven hundred million dollars and hiding fifteen million dollars in assets from regulators...…….seems credible enough
Thanks for the Wikipedia link.
He also called most of the financial collapses to the day. Every banking institution, along with government agencies connected to banking and fiscal decisions follow him and meet with him, but hey he’s a scammer.

It's because of the actual pair of players we would get that we need it. If it was just 2 kids who had no relationship it wouldn't mean nearly as much.

My hope is that these 2 guys become game changers in terms of showing other kids from Vic Metro that coming to the Coast is OK and that these are the Alpha dogs of the Vic Metro program that can change the 'go home' narrative.

Have they indicated they are happy to come?

Not that I've seen directly or an article I can send a link to but multiple times ive heard some throw away comments from a Cal Tohwmey that the boys have been asked about it and that they like the idea of being able to stay together, probably more so than coming to GC, but hey you have got to start somewhere.

I'd be stunned if our recruiters haven't gathered extensive Intel on both kid's opinion on this.

If you told me at 18 that you can move away from home and take your best mate with you I would be rapt.

Knightmare on the Draft board doesn't rate Ah Chee at all.

"Ah Chee I don't rate. He hasn't done enough to convince me he is worth using up a senior list position on. Four years in, not only has he not improved meaningfully but I'm not seeing a position where I feel he's AFL standard. Forward, back. There isn't a club in the competition I'm looking at and thinking he's best 22 on".

I think young people are a bit different now. They don't want to leave the comfort of home but once they are forced to love it. It's the losing that then makes the attract of home seem good.

Don't think he sees as much as what we do so I take these comments with a grain of salt.

Can't blame him really as there has not been much to assess over the last 2 years.

Based on glimpses of he gets on the track he is easily best 22 in at least half the sides in the AFL. Got real clean hands and good disposal.

Knightmare also thinks that Aaron Hall is a gun and was our best player when he left. I follow his draftees ranking but regarding his views on teams it's like me or anybody else on BF.

I know it may not matter but i really hope Richmond don't win the flag. Seeing Lynch with the cup would be too much for me too handle and gives players a motive to leave.

I'd prefer him holding it up to Grublett getting his hands on it.....not much of a choice I know...

SUNS REVEAL GRAND PLANS
Gold Coast wants Adelaide utility Hugh Greenwood to add a dynamic edge to its midfield next year.
The Suns are eyeing Greenwood and Richmond running machine Brandon Ellis to beef up their side for next season.
They are also monitoring Hawthorn’s Issac Smith, but the wingman is more likely now to stay at Waverley as part of a contract extension.

Four-year deals could land Greenwood and Ellis’s signatures, with the Tigers likely to receive a second-round free agency compensation pick in return for Ellis.
The Suns are trying to fight off strong interest from Hawthorn to land Greenwood for 2020.
Adelaide is reluctant to give Greenwood a long-term deal, almost certainly confirming his departure.
The Suns are expected to receive pick No.2 in this year’s draft as part of the AFL’s ongoing special assistance.

The upside with Greenwood is he’s Tasmanian, hopefully no direct ties to Melbourne
It sounds like greenwood is happy to go to whoever offers the longest and biggest deal.
Don’t think that’s the type of person we want at our club plus I don’t rate him as a player

This was pretty much the Lyons scenario
These guys are professional footballing journeymen
They and their managers have become adept at extending careers by 2 or 3 or more seasons
It doesn’t mean they won’t play to their optimum but it does make you wary
What’s their inspiration once they’ve solved their career longevity issue?

He's a top bloke apparently. Of course he will go for the best deal if he feels the Club (Adelaide) doesn't rate him. He'd be crazy not to.
