I'm not sure the ball is on the Crows foot anymore. As with all of your players - if he wants out, he'll go.And not for picks #1 or #2 or Luko.
Your club culture must be toxic as even players adored by the fans such as Betts are begging to leave.
Betts, Greenwood, both Crouches,Keath,Jenkins......
Riley Knight and Laird

I get mixed up with the Crouch brothers but the one who is a good chance to win the Crows B & F we are still a very solid chance to get. Quite keen to move on.
SO I'M TOLD.
My take is that this is a hard deal with unrealistic expectations BUT he is a big scalp for us in a symbolic way so I say it only gets done if B Crouch is wanting out and Eppo says that's the case, more likely than not now...…….if he is a chance to resign at The Crows then it wont happen by a country mile

I wouldn't say it was definitely wants out but not unkeen to move if that makes sense.

Personally l'm not fused. I think upside on Fiorini Bowes Ainsworth Brodie McPherson Weller Rankine is very high

Any suggestions?
Isaac Smith would be the stand out in terms of "gettable" targets that fits those criteria. The main positives he brings are his outside pace, ball use and ability to cover the ground. He also brings leadership experience from a fantastic system and premiership experience. On the flip side, his deficiencies are in the defensive side of his game. Shouldn't cost too much at the trade table. If Breust is also keen to move as a few have speculated in this thread, pick 20 seems like a slight overs trade that will get it done and benefit both sides.

Zak Jones is another pacey outside player. My issue with him is that his disposal can be very poor. Out of contract, but not a free agent. Has gathered a fair bit of interest down south. Don't know if he's only looking to move to Melbourne or if he's open to other options - but if so, the talk is of a second round pick. Pick 20 should get you some draft value back.

A potentially interesting one could be Sam Menegola. I heard talk about him being frustrated with some lack of opportunities at the Cats. If he's open to the move, I believe it would be a pretty good value trade. Pick 55 might do it. Next year's 3rd could be an option too.

Kamdyn McIntosh is another that would fill that criteria. Bit of talk doing the rounds that he is open to moving - not sure if this is just back home to WA or to anywhere. Another decent option I think from a great system. Was able to fit in the Richmond line up the majority of the year, but I doubt he would be too expensive either.

Last idea is Lewy Taylor. Has some obvious deficiencies in his defensive game, but he brings that pace and hard running that you're discussing here. Lacked opportunities this year due to the Lions incredible injury run, but showed round 11 against the Hawks that he has the ability to perform extremely well at the top level. Injured shortly after this and wasn't able to break back into the side again. Should be very cheap.

Isaac Smith is the standout, in terms of both value and ability. Those are a few ideas though that are at least somewhat "gettable" in my opinion. Obviously none are S or A grade superstars, but I think most of those trades would offer some pretty good value, especially considering the additional list spots available, and be able to actually impact at the best 22 level (unlike players like GHS and Murdoch).

I reckon both are gettable and cost us longer contracts and not much in dollars or picks, add one or both of them to Ellis, Greenwood, Rowell and Anderson and we would be flying
Agree, just think we need a 25 year old star (obvious statement, I know). The time is now, it is all lined up for us to challenge for a finals spot. I think the player agents (at least the smart ones) can smell it too. But it all hinges on a marquee mid IMO. B Crouch is gettable we need to get it done without giving up Luko,1 or 2 but let's not be shy here.
West Coast wouldn't give up an extra first rounded for Kelly and I reckon it cost them a Premiership. And they will have to give up even more now.
My point let's not die wondering, this is the most important year in our history.

Damo finally makes some sense in his sliding doors segment

I don't agree completely re the comp free agency pick
I think there should be one if a player chooses a Club that finishes above you on the ladder

Following on from Thurls64 post (haven't got the hang of this quote thingy yet!)

And Jacobs.
The accusation from Barrett on 'sliding doors' was damning - that the 'training camp' accused Jacobs of being 'soft' over his brothers death (from Caroline Wilson).
If that's the way Adelaide treat their players then no wonder they all want out.
Crouch is gettable, the club is poison atm, the players remember that camp and the treatment of Jacobs loss, and the disrespect shown to the Aboriginal lads still festers (Betts gone, CEY gone).
Offer $750,000 x 5 yrs and get the deal done for a 1st rounder - whatever we get from Carlton.

Good to see people getting on the Smith bandwagon. The Hawks have been bracing fans for big changes to get an as yet unknown gun in.
Smith will be one up for grabs.
I said it before - he was knocking around at Ballarat or Bendigo until he was 24/25 and has only hit the elite fitness/pressure for the last 6 yrs. He's easily got another 2 A grade seasons in him.
It's a no-brainer - outside speed with a 50m accurate kick, brave player as well, and a good clubman. Offer the guy 2 +1 with easy triggers and work a deal with the hawks.

Angus Brayshaw - seemed totally unhappy last year at the Dees after finishing 3rd in the brownlow the year before. I'm amazed they are letting Frost go, so it seems like they are their usual shambles.
We have great current and future picks - he's unhappy, and is elite.
Got to be worth a call.

And again, somebody please give Dale Thomas a call!
