Don't think Josh Gore deserves a spot?

Got some skills but he’s dan Menzel at 178cm not 186Tough one - has done well and but with his style of play and physical traits his path to getting a game at AFL level is not as clear IMO.
You reckon we’d bring in weightman? My hopes of how the draft period will go for the Suns:
Out:
Trade out:
Martin > 21
Ah Chee >34
Picks:
1,2, 15, 20, 21, 34, 56
Gone (Seniors):
Leslie
Nutting
Crossley (can't see point of someone else's career ending if he is no chance to play next year - promise a rookie spot from him when cleared)
Gone (Rookies):
Fletcher
Wigg
Delist and re-rookie:
Nicholls
Schoenfeld
GHS
Rookie to Senior list:
Holman
Rookie list spots available:
4
In:
Pre-selected Rookies (2):
Rosas
Ace
Experienced Rookies (2):
Jack Trengove / experienced/delisted AFL player with 1-2 years left
Harley Bennell - roll the dice on x factor (if he stuffs up again off-field again you just cut him)
Senior list spots available:
8
Pre-selected Seniors (1):
Budarick
Free agent (1):
Ellis
Trade in (3):
Greenwood (Crows: pick 34 Suns: Future Crows 3rd pick)
Player X (pick 21) for example Isaac Smith or Conner Blakely
Player Y (worthy of GC future 2nd rd pick)
Either use picks 48 and 56 as part of player trades or trade for future picks / upgrade our future picks at trade deadline
Draft selections (3):
(1) Rowell, (2) Anderson, Pick 15 (Gould / Weightman / Luke Jackson / Dylan Williams / Trent Bianco)
At draft time trade pick 20 prior to start of 2nd rd for future selections (e.g future 1st from middling/strong club to get a player that they really rate who has not been selected on night 1 with our future 3rd pick also going back)
2020 picks:
GC 1st (1-3), assistance pick 10, future 1st (8-18), + Alex Davies
Fully loaded to make a godfather offer for Max King in 2020
Get Brad Crouch next year if required as a FA
Schoenfeld needs to be cutDon't think Josh Gore deserves a spot?
Experienced Rookies (2):
Jack Trengove / experienced/delisted AFL player with 1-2 years left
Harley Bennell - roll the dice on x factor (if he stuffs up again off-field again you just cut him)
I love Harley as much as the next bloke but we need to be certain he can get on the paddock. The last thing we need is another guy that is just in the rehab group every week, it becomes a culture, we need to kill that culture. It's the biggest think holding us back. Bringing Bennell back appears just romantic folly.Tell me if I’m wrong but I kind of feel if no other club picks up Bennell then we could possibly owe him at least a rookie spot for failing him in the early days.. clearly the club wasn’t set up with the right people around to support a kid with his type of off field issues and reports say since becoming a father he’s a changed person and just had an operation to fix his calf
You reckon we’d bring in weightman?
With sexton Ainsworth rankine rosas ace even budarick we’ve got some depth.
Seems we like his chirpy character as per twoomey Road to draft pod.
I think we should consider trading up to try get our pick 15 into the top 10 to snare Gould?
Give north Melbourne 15 and 2020 2nd/3rd for pick 9?
Add Macpherson who'll probably be pushed more to the forward line.Wouldn't think that would.be enough for a team to give up a top 10 pick.
That may be just enough to get the Giants pick at 13.
Twomey has said on multiple times that we have been very interested in Weightman. If he's a gun then you get him as there are plenty of spots for a goalkicker for a team that doesn't kick many.
There was never any question about Harley’s ability to train hard but I know what you mean. Bonus is if we could keep him right, our skill levels would pick up at training and on field. Would love the fairytale story but can’t really see it happening myself.I love Harley as much as the next bloke but we need to be certain he can get on the paddock. Give that spot to a hard trainer who will keep the squad honest.
Weightman loves a surf too apparently.Wouldn't think that would.be enough for a team to give up a top 10 pick.

I'd take that for Smith. We'd probably look to split it into later picks for points to match a bid for Maginness. We'd likely actually trade it to Richmond e.g 21 & 49 to Richmond for 38, 39 & 40.Player X (pick 21) for example Isaac Smith or Conner Blakely
No chance Bennell will be drafted by the Suns.
Apparently he is over 180cm now and tested well at the Combine so could go anywhere with his goal kicking record attracting attention . Conroy could be pre listed due to problems with your ruckman and finally the NT kid Jungfer could be a dark horse to be prelisted as he has a point of differenceGot some skills but he’s dan Menzel at 178cm not 186
Wheels has so much goodwill hereI’d like to put my Harley to Southport and get him a job/career pathway started and all going well we pick him in the mid season draft idea out there again
Wheels has so much goodwill here
Do the Southport thing but with the Suns rehab team and a promise of mid year rookie if he's fit
Gore played in the academy series with my son and definitely looks bigger now, like Aston Crosley (another option) he has a tall older brother so maybe there is scope for further growth. His highlight reel compares well with anyone in the draft. Conroy kicked three goals in an Allies trial game so may be a forward option and Jungfer was in the best in am Allies game so plenty of choicesApparently he is over 180cm now and tested well at the Combine so could go anywhere with his goal kicking record attracting attention . Not sure if Freo would be happy to trade Blakely although it seems as though he can't quite find his place in the Freo side as they throw him around a bit.

Yeah, if he kicks goals then sure. I've not seen him play. I had Ned Mchenry in my mind who is mainly just a pressure forward right? Don't think we really need that. If he is a goal kicker then can see more to that play.
You don't reckon that 15 2019 and 20ish in 2020 couldn't get us pick 9-10? this 2019?
