In favour of Casboult (good year but no chat about GC as far as I'm aware), Menzel (horrible), Corey Ellis who last year looked like a mediocre reserves player, and playing our forwards in defence.

Delistees can bring something in second phase of their careers - all these guys did very well in subsequent stints.

Agree - Comes down to what he's valued at.
If they've made the promise - they've got to get the deal done.
If they're offering him 3 years 400k - pay up Brisbane if you want the player.

On the other If we only offered him 2 years 300k - Lions would be saying, well you guys don't value him that much - why should you get pick 21 in return.

Would be very frustrating making these deals. Glad I'm not involved!

I am definitely keen on Broadbent as a rookie. Can come in and do a job down in defence if someone goes down. He is by no means a bad player.
