Unfortunately your recruiting dept has let an opportunity slip to do so. Looks like Martin will either go in the NAB, pre-season or rookie draft which = zero picks for your club.
I think they one and all need a rocket up you know where!

Firstly I didn't go to Trinity, Trini refers to someone from Trinidad. Secondly the only way a list is improved is trading/attracting and developing players which your club hasn't done well.

So who do we think will be the 5 or 6 players delisted now we have 4 top 20 picks and potentially the 2 academy players in Budarick and Rosas

There will only be room for one of them most probably Budarick, Rosa and Gore may get bids so the Suns at this stage can’t match. You will also find the Suns May swap 15 and 20 for a higher pick as to be honest with the contract situation they don’t have enough places for 6 picks

Okay I have been triggered. Our recruiting department actually needs to be commended for their stance even if we get nothing from this. We have been shafted from pillar to post in years gone past (point in case Weller deal) and have grown some backbone and taken a stance.

If any recruiters need a rocket in there backsides it’s your guys for failing to get Martin and Papley done. Don’t flick shit over the fence when the real problems lie with your club.

Carlton were simply tyre kicking the whole time. They used the excuse that pick 9 was tied to the Papley deal. When that fell over they still refused to enter into a fair trade.
The whole time they were eyeing off the PSD to get him for free. Absolute maggots.

Agree, SOS fumbled his way through that 2 minute interview straight after trade period closed. Its like he didnt even think of the possibility that we might not accept their offer. Dont think he is any trading mastermind at all. The dissapointment was written all over his face.

Let me put this into a context you might understand... Us GC Suns members have been through years of heartbreak at trade time...

- The Weller Deal
- Trading for West Coasts first
- Jarryd Lyons deal last year and the trading of future picks with the Lions
- Past trades of O Meara, Dixon, Bennell, Matera etc

This is the first time our recruiting department has shown some clear backbone and I would speak for the majority who are happy with the stance and support the recruiting department this year. To say they need a rocket up there backsides is an ill informed comment which you made that comes across as negative and rude to us Gold Coast supporters. Martin rolled the dice and put faith in Carlton to do the deal and they showed him little support. You may still well end up with him and you know what no big loss for the suns as we have played our cards and shown we won’t be pushovers at the trade table in the future

So correct. Been saying he is ****ing awful at list management since the GWS days. Incredibly overrated and one of, if not THE worst list manager in the competition.
