carlton do not win from this in the slightest.
IF they get martin via any draft it will be due to a huge price on his head considering GC had up to 800k for crouch. that would create salary cap squeeze as early as next off season and either limit their ability to bring in any players or force some talent out the door.
if that doesn't create problems how can they attract players during trade period when players ask them can you get the deal done.

I have a feeling that some of those names may still be able at our pick 15... if Jackson is still available I would pick him up now as we have the time to develop him.

Also visited Brisbane.
Said he loved Brisbane.

Brisbane is 80 km away lol and the Lions have a heap of picks in the middle of the draft. Big question though if the Irishman and Ace are taken as international rookies are they included in the 10 rookies consession that the Suns are allowed to take or does that number expand to 12

Thanks for the geography lesson. He was more talking about the club. Mentioned Christensen, Cameron etc..

Not sure on the rookie concessions - surely the club has that sorted though. As intriguing as Towey is, surely Rosas has better potential to be a contributing AFL player.

The other thing is that Rosa although talented is very hit and miss, hardly touched it v Vic Country and saw him run and bounce it about ten times v WA ignoring his teammates and then basically throw the ball away. He may not meet the team first approach and the Suns have the X factor factor already in Rankine

What do we need on our list this draft period... take picks 1 and 2 away as we know what we getting with those and Budarick. I would suggest a back up ruck unless Crossley is cleared and some outside speed would be my second option.

Rucks usually drop in the draft so unless Geelong take him I could see Jackson being available for us to grab. Then at 20 just take an outside mid and there should be plenty of them available

High upside but questionable work ethic from what I've read?
With the group at the club now, I'd hope we can instil some better traits into some questionable characters.

Melbourne will consider trying to enter the frame for Martin and beat the Blues to the punch for the exciting ballwinner with pick No. 2 in the pre-season draft.

But Martin on Thursday remained intent on joining the Blues and could refuse to meet with any other clubs in the lead-up to the pre-season draft, effectively putting him off-limits to rivals.

Martin won’t return to the Suns, even if the club considered taking him back with the No. 1 pick in the pre-season draft.

Sam Gray would be a good pick up, right age.
Newnes similar.
Masten as a rookie.
