If Kemp falls to us I would be ecstatic.

Versatility would be key that we can play him basically anywhere except in the ruck eventually.

I prefer to keep 15 and 20 rather than move up. Imagine the complain when 15 and 20 are better and playing and the player you move up for injured or not so good. There is a reason a top 5 talent drop out of top 10. Kemp pick 15-17 is about right because of his injuries. Robertson just don't see the need if GCS serious of Brodie playing AFL.
Will - day, Gould or Trent - rivers, Bianco. For me because habrow and Hanley are not getting any younger, shoenfield, Murdoch, GHS could be gone next year or the following year. If I am not mistaken Alex Davies in next year draft is more a inside mid like Robertson.

I would be still taking Robertson as best available, you can’t have to many good midfielders in your team. This has been our biggest issue the past 5 years our midfield atm is was to thin

I still don’t see how Robertson gets to our pick 16 note Green bid. Alex Davies is an interesting one as surely the recruitment team have factored him coming in next year. If Fisher McAsey slides he is the only one I would more up the order for

If Crows don't pick McAsey Suns could make play for him at pick 9, 10.

Otherwise, pick 15 - one of Day, Bergman, Kemp, Robertson should be available. Kemp is almost guaranteed to do another ACL during his career according to doctors as he did his first ACL under 18. Robertson - his kicking is ordinary at best. Yes, Davies is projected top 10 pick next year.

Pick 20 - Gould, Rivers, Bianco but Suns probably get some serious offers for pick 20. Could end up with future first plus 2nd round this year or two early 2nd round this year.

Did someone mention here that Ryan Byrnes may be a chance for us if we moved 20 for a future 1st and a late 2nd / 3rd Rd pick?

I am not interested in future pick apart from round 1 pick . If you expected to move up the ladder, better utilise the concession now rather than later where AFL can take it away anytime , example Rookie A, Darwin Zone.Harder to get rid of players on senior list than rookie a.
Swallow, Thompson , miles, Greenwood, Murdoch, Witts, GHS will all be in their 30 in three years time. If you don't draft now, there will be a gap again. Three year development whether in Neafl or AFL.

According to who? That isn't correct at all.

I like OB11 thinking in terms of trading up a few spots to secure one of Robertson / kemp. Preference kemp. Think kemp especially over Bergman or day preferable for me.

Depending on list spots we have I’d also think about trading with Sydney for their 2nd round pick this year if Bianco was still on the board at that stage. They need points next year for Campbell and gulden. Did we get a second round pick in 2020 as part of our concessions?

Bianco and McLennan give us a couple of bites at the cherry for a young harbrow replacement. The next 5 years seems like it will be a small forward takeover. (Cameron, rioli’s, Ryan, Myers, weightman, Pickett, butters, Henry, Hayward, hill, rankine, Fantasia, AMT, etc.. etc..) we desperately need one or two players on the list to cover these guys.

I just can’t see Bianco as a league midfielder but he might be ok if we think he can play small defender role.

GWS Manager Adrian Caruso on the AFL Radio was explain why they took Jye Caldwell, Jackson Hately & Xavier O'Hallahan all inside mids, when Tom Green is available this year.

"You just got to take the best available, Tom may do a knee or not progress well"

If Deven Robertson is somehow there, you have to take him 100%

According to Dr Feller who does most ACL/PCL for AFL players in Melbourne.
“If you are under 20 when you have your first reconstruction, your risk [of another] goes up. If you are under 18 it really goes up that you will have another injury to the same knee, or the other knee,” Feller said.
“If you are a [young] male you have got a really high risk of further ACL injury.

He is a good player but I don’t think he will be a huge loss to us. We are about to get an influx of mid talent and he is a high possession low hurt factor player. Easy to replace
Yeah that sucks about Fiorini if it eventuates - especially as we need those guys who are 3-4 years into their careers to support the Rowells and Andersons etc..but I kind of agree with your assessment. Getting your hands on the ball is an underrated ability. He is also a great leader for a young man apparently.

A lot can change with Fiorini, but we are getting a good influx of midfield talent in.

Would suck to lose him, but wouldn't be an absolute disaster.
It would be interesting to know what has changed for him. Last time he re-signed he mentioned he was happy to extend for longer, his family stated on FB he is going nowhere, he loves it on GC. Let's see is he is still part of leadership team in March. Wins or more money could change his mind.

My mail is that Fiorini will go

Well there you go then. Feel free to apologise all those who made the rude and personal statements at me yesterday when I brought this up.
That’s really disappointing of him if he does. He’s been without a doubt developed, given opportunity, brought in and enjoyed what we’ve collectively given him here on the GC.

Might be that he sees himself as a 25 possession player and worth a big contract 800k plus. But GC staff are more wary of his game impact and not willing to put a big contract in front of him.

If true, would love to know.
