Hey guys sorry to intrude!
With your new list concessions or whatever you want to call them, I see you have a maximum list of 50. Does that mean 40 senior 10 Cat A rookies and 3 Cat B Rookies? Or does it mean 40 senior 7 Cat A Rookies and 3 Cat B Rookies? Just curious as if it is the first one you have 2 spots you could potentially fill but the AFL website say in this article you will finalise your list?
Thanks for any help guys

40 senior list, 10 cat A, 3 cat B.
At present 40 on the senior list, 10 cat A and 1 cat B. Total 51 plus we got Ace on the international scholarship who is eligible to play only in NEAFL.

Sorry mate, couple of follow up questions!
Does this mean Dawson and Heron have become Cat A? Is Ace Luke Towey or someone else? And has Murtagh been signed as a Cat A?
Thanks

Yes, it seems Heron, Dawson, Murtagh are all cat A and Towey is cat B. Ace's actual name is Hewago Oea.

I personally don't see the big deal in the trade. As it's been widely mentioned the 2020 draft is highly compromised, so 11 may end up at 20+. Plus they obviously feel Sharp is valued more now than a player at 11 (0r where it lands) will be.

Agree Jen
No-one cares unless you're some list/draft/trade dweeb
We wanted the guy and paid a bit more for him than expected
I'll be doing something similar with prawns and cherries in a couple of weeks time
It's called supply and demand
It might just be Geelong's a bit easier to deal with too

Is it possible that the Suns can take a category b rookie or two in the preseason or mid season draft if we have two positions still able to be filled

I think he'd have lasted past Geelong at minimum.

Anyway, let's hope he turns out as good as the Suns reckon.

No, apparently Geelong were going to take him at that pick. Sharp himself said he was expecting them to select him there until the Suns initiated the trade. Geelong were also one of a number of clubs very keen on him.
Suns offered pick 11 to every club before them in the second round and they had no takers until Geelong agreed to do the trade.

Fair enough then.

Yep, Lions could have now pick 11 instead of Robertson :)

But by draft night, the Giants had decided if Melbourne bid on Green, they would match it. It was unlikely, but a chance, so the Giants worked on ways to match it by moving out pick four in a trade for multiple first-round selections.

The Suns inquired about the move, offering a strong hand of picks as they eyed half-back Young, but the Giants didn't budge.

Interestingly, Carlton's offers was rejected by Cats and Port first before making a deal with Suns for pick 11.
They completed the deal with the Suns, who zoomed up the board to take Flanders, who they rated inside their top four.

The mind games would have been far different if Carlton had have traded up to pick No.6 instead of down to later in the first round, with Gold Coast set on taking Jeremy Sharp at their third selection if they had have kept it instead of swapping it with the Blues (a key reason why the following night the Suns traded pick 27 for next year's pick 11 to take Sharp).

Poor guy. played 6 games, was more or less promised a lifeline and then they said.. no, thanks.
Carlton were a mess this year. They had basically agreed to sign both Butler and Ellis and then screwed them both. Worked out well for GC though. Also there were disagreements on whether to sign Betts.

I remember that. They were in disagreements re: betts. A mess indeed. Which they have been in one form or another for years.
