More top picks and highly rated youngsters out the door for unders, most likely to do well elsewhere.

Cue up the old "Suns are a revolving door of top draft picks" cliches from the media.
Fodder for the masses who all love the fact that there is a club worse off than them. They love it. Especially the Crows and Demons fans at the moment.

It never gets old.

Sadly, the truth hurts the most. And that has a large grain of truth.,

And the “they don’t deserve PPS because they’re a rabble and poor management” chestnut from opposition supporters who clearly have NFI what has happened behind the scenes.
With the majority of our young players from interstate, we will always have the higher risk of losing them, whether we’re well managed or not.

This is my worry about people on here getting excited about pp1 and pick 2 Anderson and Rowell.. no doubt in a few years it’ll just be them who leave chasing dollars or success

Need to probably start moving on the early picks for more mature players instead of bringing in kids and vfl rejects.. there was an interview with McKenna and he said in his last year at the club he and Clayton were at heads because he wanted to start to go for older players and Clayton wanted to go back to the draft

Problem is when at the bottom no quality player will join us. We need to be able to double their salary offer but we don't get extra salary cap. Nice from Gillon. The only solution is to start winning on its own, show enough promise. It may happen with better injury run next year or maybe not and Lukosius/King, Fiorini,... leave too. Nice cycle.

You need to start somewhere and do something about it, if GCS can get Oliver, Fyfe, Bont to come I am happy to gave up Lukosius Ben King and this year first round for them.

I found out over the weekend that Clayton alone vetoed Mitch Robinson coming as he contacted the club and was desperate to come and the coaching staff wanted him and I was also told Clayton vetoed Andrew Swallow coming as he also wanted to come, Dew was against that as well though

Clayton lost all creditability, Dew just came in October/november, should not had much said, he don't even know much of Clayton list management. Don't mind rumours but the gap need to be realistic.

Robinson looks great with talented users around him, I imagine he wouldn't look great in a team like ours. i.e the Lyons effect. However, it was defiantly a mistake not get him if that was the case.

Lions were as bad as us very recently remember.
