That sounds promising. The usual AFL tactic of announcing something controversial during Grand Final week so it gets lost in the build-up to the match.

Thompson, Collins, Ballard, Hombsh, Burgess, Graham.?

With Thompson Collins all coming back from injuries
The AFL back line could be Thompson, Collins, Ballard,
With Graham, Hombsh, Burgess playing Neafl.. Not yet include King and Luko ( both can play both end) AFL/Neafl

If good players are available and willing to come I don’t think we can turn them down just because we have c graders that did an ok job this year in a similar position,
I’d take keath in this circumstance, he’d be best 22 clearly.

If we could get a good midfielder instead with the same asset of course I would do that in preference.

Thompson is b grade but always injured
Collins had a good start to the season but injured
Hombsch is c grade and for me is depth
Burgess showed some good signs at back end of the season but definitely depth
Ballard is versatile and could be played elsewhere
Luko could play further up ground.
Graham is not ready for AFL but got gifted games because of injury.

Pretty sure Cameron intimated during an interview on the Road to the Draft podcast earlier this year that we wouldn’t be making as many changes to the playing list as in previous years. Maybe around seven?

I reckon Keays is another list clogger... Masten and Gibbs at least offer experience

Keays can be much more than a list clogger. He's only 22 and killing it in the NEAFL. We've just had better midfield depth and an amazing injury run this season, otherwise he'd have played more games. Unlucky not to, really. I hope he goes somewhere with better opportunities than Brisbane.

Masten would be a good acquisition, has the premiership experience. Gibbs, have to be careful, he may not be the best influence with his rumoured issues.

I would not take Masten or Gibbs. Masten is essentially another Corey Ellis. Just a bit better with some more experience.

i think the plan will be to get the priority picks to secure rowell and andersen, take buddarick maybe gore if bid on in draft otherwise rookie him with Ace. That would be the extent of the kids they would want to take. any others coming in will likely be mature players.

We’ve also lost one of the genuinely few hard players we have on the list. Just a pity Brad was played out of his natural position as an inside mid and never had enough of an opportunity there IMO. Need a lot of luck and good timing to make it in the AFL as much as natural ability sometimes.

Gould is easily in the convo with Young and Ash. He is the most AFL ready player out of those 3, the best leader, best floor, just as powerful and good of a kick as those 2, much more explosive and powerful then those 2 as well. Gould will be absolute jet, my favourite player from this draft pool this year

I disagree. I would have a sizeable bet he won't go top 6 in this draft. His upside is limited.

Saying he averages 16 touches and not even a goal a game
And 1 30 touch game to his name.

So he isn’t a mid
His forward stats are poor.
Why would anyone pay 500k for someone who has showed so little.

Everyone rang up said they’d take him for 400

One said he’d prefer to keep Castana at Richmond over playing Martin.

One caller was asking if his efficiency was high or butchers the ball for his 16touches.
McClure had no idea just kept baiting the listeners

I dont think its as limited as you think, has a lot of puppy fat to lose yet. And at his height and size with that blend of power and speed he could pinch hit in the middle. Might not go top 6 but he will be one of the absolute best out of this draft.
