Moreover, if Brisbane are obligated to get a deal done if they've made a commitment to Ah Chee, why stop at one of those three demands? Why not demand all three? Why not demand Lachie Neale and Charlie Cameron in the bargain too? Because apparently Brisbane "cannot just walk away", no matter what the demand is.

Has he accepted this contract? If not, I wonder why you're so confident.

I’m not confident JB, I’m just being Mr Bods.

I think that's stretching rationality. Even if the Suns try to poach a little and come out well from the trade, they still are obligated to act in good faith in regard to Cal and semi-sensible negotiation.

Brisbane’s current administration just get deals done.

No idea what they will consider a good or fair deal.

Last trade period we were very active in trading in and out players and picks to get the players we wanted and keep picks in the areas we wanted.

Wouldn’t surprise me if we traded our GC second round pick for Ah Chee and GC’s third round pick.

Pick 14-18, 52 ah ah chee for. Pick 19,35 42, 53.
Pick 19 for BETTS, Greenwood and keath.
If last year GCS willing to give up multiple second and third for Brisbane second, I can't see why Brisbane being a di** now.
I’m not sure that works out in Gold Coasts favour.

If we’re not planning on any more trades, I’d possibly do that deal.

Seriously, I think is in favour of Brisbane but at least GCS got pick to play around.
You get two late first round, GCS get back own second Rd, pick 35, 42, 53, rather pick 53 suggested by your Brisbane mate.

Martin Pick 6-10
Ah Chee pick 19-23
What you are saying is insulting when said on this board even though you normally are a legend.

You right now have your Lions hat on and want to feast on our difficult predicament.

Sorry mate, but I think you clearly have your suns hat on here. Martin has delivered nowhere near enough to demand a pick 6. That price is too high to pay for ‘potential’. I understand that you paid up pick 2 for Weller (not trying to be insulting or having a dig) but that isn’t the norm. I haven’t seen much of Ah Chee, but again, it’s based more on potential. Given the fact that he is injury prone and apparently has some personal issues, I’d say a pick between 25-35 would be fair.
Big stretch to say that Johnny’s comment was insulting.

My concern with Ah Chee is his injury history.

If we’re willing to offer more years and extra coin, I hope our medical staff have had the chance to do a full test on Ah Chee.
I think you think too much, GCS trade ablett second Rd pick, Fremantle and GC third Rd for your second Rd last year.
Now we just asking for pick 35,42, 53 back for ah chee.

I’m in my own board here. I expect people to act therefore appropriately.
Martin is as skilled as they get and can take a team over the top in the premiership window-he’s an equivalent pick 1 from the mini draft and is with Coniglio gone the top prize.
6-10.
Ah Chee top ten pick with amazing clean hands who’s shown more than enough every time in first grade.
And you want him bad. 19-23.
Far Out It’s tiring repeating yourself in your own board.
Thanks a lot.

Mr Bods remember how pi**ed you were at Jarrod Garlett dissing us when he was picked up by Carlton, he just got hit by the Karma bus delisted

Yes I do. He’s another one that when all is said and done played his best footy with us.
Off to the WAFL he goes.
Didn’t that superior culture as he put it work out so well for him.
Another Ingrate gets what’s coming to them.
No sleep lost.

If Suns didn't, want to match Brisbane's offer for Ah Chee I wonder if they are trying to accumulate a war chest for someones twin.
There's certainly list pressure behind Cal's situation
If King and Luko had walked this year Cal wouldn't be looking for another Club
When all you guys play Supercoach you do realise the Clubs are doing the same thing with their lists
You can't play and pay everyone

Martin gone,Ah Chee,Lyons,Lynch,May. Wonder how much that freed up salary cap wise.

Yeah.. but some teams seem to be able to accumulate all these players with high 'SC salaries' whilst others are bringing in the GHS' and Anthony Miles' of this world to free up cap space.

It does annoy me that people go on about the departed suns players

Gws has also lost
Adam treloar
Dylan Shiel
Devon Smith
Taylor Adams
Josh Bruce
Will Hoskin elliott
Rory lobb
Jack Steele
Tom Boyd
Matthew Kennedy
Don Tyson
Will setterfield
Lachie plowman
Caleb marchbank
Paul ahern
Jon orourke
Tom bugg
Jack hombsch

And post inception their they have recruited
De boer
Tendai mzungu
Dylan Buckley
Lachie keefe
Mumford
Shaw
Simpson

Any others? Not exactly a distinguished lot.

The thing is most of those players that left they got first or second round pick back for and picked up the other players coming in for not much and remained semi successful..
because giants got a bigger bite at the cherry per say they were able to accumulate more top end talent so when it was time to squeeze the list tighter they got reward whereas clayton took a different path

Sincere apologies mate, I honestly thought that I was on the main board. Although I don’t agree with your ratings, I definitely respect the fact that this is your board. Will see myself out [emoji111]️

All the best. Yeah the main board is a brutal place. I rarely go in there. When I do I usually regret it.

Collingwood, Bombers, Hawks,Tigers seem to attract Stars without loosing to much. Frustrating for the rest of the completion. The only way I can see forward is from our Juniors. More difficult to cherry pick locals. Unfortunately that will take time.

My understanding of the Ah chee situation is he was fairly happy at the club and is keen to remain in QLD. Lions just offered a much better deal almost double what suns offered. If the lions cant satisfy Gold coast who have clearly stated they want to retain him i think it is more likely then not that he resigns with the suns.

My other take on our off season plans is the club is interested more in players this year then others. assuming we get #1 priority pick the club would take Rowell and Anderson match a bid on Buddarick and then aim to select Gore and ACE as Cat B rookies. So I can't see accepting 2019 draft picks as a Priority for the club, maybe 2020 picks but players will be the main goal and with what Craig Cameron said earlier this year several players are actually interested in joining.

Didn't mean to be insulting. I think trades between our clubs should be fair, there's no point in us ripping off the Suns, it's winning the battle but losing the war (by that I mean the war to make Queensland an Australian rules state). We'll see how it all turns out in the end. Someone once said that sign of a balanced deal is when Axe
Wasn’t he the rising star a few years back

I thought 25-35 is reasonable for Cal.

Player like Saad went for similar and he was a much better player albeit older

Need the picks as currency to get some senior players from other clubs
