14 (15) may be a slight reach for Bianco judging from people who watch closer than I do but he has played with Rowell and Anderson and would be a solid pick up from all reports.

With so many players to bring in (apparently) there is a fair chance a lot of the later picks will change hands.

Can't waste list spots like this.
Luke Partington, Luke Reynolds, mc bean pretty good for Glenelg vs Adelaide in SANFL preliminary finals. How many rookies list sport GCS have.

Flanders got a lot of LDU vibe. Everybody want him in BF.

Not keen on Eagles but I reckon Keays might be offered as part of the Ah Chee trade. Just not sure I’m keen on him either 🤷‍♂️
Saw the game yesterday and there is a wealth of young talent down there that will struggle to get a game in the As plus the mid age players as well.

I'd take a serious look at Cutler, Mathieson, Cox and Hinge to name just a few. All would be in our best 22. Corey Lyons played a huge game so would be nice to entice him down here to replace his brother! Lions look like being very strong for a few years so plenty of pickings if the right offers are made. They simply all can't make the big league given the strength up there at moment.

fu** me thank you for pointing this out. I can't believe how fussy some of these guys are when we literally don't have one outside player of his calibre.

Very picky for supporters of a team that have nothing at this point. Brandon has his flaws but fu** me he is a major improvement.
Colour me picky when it comes to boosting the team with overhyped overpriced half back flankers
Malceski, Hanley, Weller and now Ellis?

Ellis is a winger, not a half back flanker. He's contributing in a big way to the premiership favourite, so I'm not sure it's fair to write him off as another Hanley.

Big way! I love your work usually but we all have the occasional bad call.

He was worst on ground against the Lions and is the first in that team to jib a contest.

Not saying he won't be useful but let's not overstate his value.

Would like us to have a crack again at Zak Smith apparently only St Kilda chasing him and they aren't going to be able to land everyone they are chasing, also Shaun Higgins would be another

Zak Jones would be a good get

Hanley Weller and Malceski all arrived to much fanfare on the basis they would break lines , create A+ spread from the contest and deliver I50 with elite footskills
Ellis fits into that category
I'm over "Oh yeah, he's not amazing but a good get for The Suns"
If he's only worth 3 years and 400k at Richmond then that's what he should be worth at Metricon

So we're going to concentrate on one game only and ignore the entire rest of the season?

And when all the players we chase reject our offers what do we do?

I saw him pull out of a marking contest v Port Adelaide. Didn't watch every Richmond game but if he's such a big part of their success why is he the player they are prepared to lose and their fans don't seem to be too upset about it 🤔

Dropped a couple of times when the team was travelling poorly last year
That says a fair bit to me

Because he's an outside player, not as important as some of their other players, is out of contract and can command much more than what Richmond are willing to pay him without putting pressure on their cap. None of that means he's a bad player, he is contributing to their play, not hindering them.

And then those kids leave because they are in an uncompetitive team and getting belted. You need experience around them, not just throwing kids in for the sake of it.
I'm not against a player like Ellis per se
I'm against a player like Ellis at 750k over 5 years

We haven't been competitive for 3 years and I can't remember one kid asking to leave recently apart from Scrimshaw who wasn't get a game. It's those 5-6+ year players who want out because they've been through a build already.
Drafting is the only way to get A graders to our club.

I think the difference with those past years and now, there was hope. At the moment, it seems there is very little hope, of course I am not in the change rooms so I have no idea of the mood. But with massive pulls on King and Lukosius seemingly from home, we need to begin selling the dream.

Kids just don't develop into A Graders automatically they need guidance, protection and a solid system on field and support off field. Look at Worpel who is a pick 40, he has looked so much more accomplished than others who were picked above him because he is in there with mature professionals and surrounded by massive experience. Kids picked before Worpel would look at him and wonder why they aren't developing at a similar rate.

Ainsworth, Bowes and Brodie all picked in the top 10, longer in the system, and none of them are on Worpel's level as an example.

A team like GC Suns need to get more players like Gibbons/holman on a one year contract, better get average players for Neafl than drop Sexton and Peter Wright because of their high salary.

Ellis is a wingman. I would take Hanley and Weller again. Hanley has just been unlucky, easy to criticise in hindsight bud.
