List Mgmt. 2019 Draft/Trade/FA Thread - Final Wrap

If Luko had played the whole year as a forward he would be demanding a trade this year. He was getting 5 touches a game in our trainwreck of a forward line and that was in the first 6 rounds when we looked half decent.

He will play forward once that area is not a complete black hole for leading forwards.
Totally agree but might not be for us. Didn't see Carlton playing Walsh off half back when Carlton had a black hole as well.

Please God....no way. Referring to Menadue - Kennedy and / or Parker would be huge for us but unlikely so we'll probably get Menapoo!
There is nothing to say we are defiantly picking him up, but just looking at him as an option. 0 chance we pick up Parker or Kennedy though, would be great, but don't think there is much we can offer them to get them out of Sydney at the moment.

Totally different - Walsh is a midfielder, his job is see ball, get ball and they put him around the ball.

You put Luko up forward where the ball rarely goes, and when it does get there it gets kicked over his head so no point wasting him there.

Agree to disagree - guess we'll revisit at end of 2020.

Menadue has been really good this year in the VFL and has played 6 AFL games averaging 15 touches on limited time on the ground and only 22
Very fast and a big tank with good disposal and a powerful kick , IMO needs to put on another 7-8kgs of muscle and get to 60/70 games under his belt.

I would prefer to keep him specially with Ellis leaving and give him another year

If we end up paying Ellis enough for an end of 1st Rd FA pick for the Tigers maybe you can give us a discount for Menadue trade

Irishman Luke towey is joining the club as cat b rookie
Knew we flew him out but didn't know we signed him. Very quick over 20m at 2.82. Hopefully can learn to use it in game and he can provide us some nice bounce off half back!

We can throw in
#18 + Butler + Menadue + Ellis compo

for Pick #2 ;)

Might not be a bad idea. Considering the SUNS will offer Ellis 13 years at 3.8million a season, you would think the Ellis compo might be high :p

By the way Gun, Just spoke via PM to Mr Bods. I regretfully inform you that your position as 2IC to him has been terminated effective immediately due to you showing your Richmond bias

Please don't shoot the messenger

Due to Bod's being unavailable for extended period I have now been appointed chief recruiting manager and also list manager
In the event bods does return he will resume as my assistant.

You will need to change your Sig, something like

"Defender of the Beautiful City and Scourge of the bedwetters" should suffice

Hi All, Since we are no longer discussing drafts/trade/fa I just wanted everyone’s thoughts on the current state of the Australian economy? Finally a budget surplus surely that’s a good thing?

Shush you or I will threadban you too! And considering I am going to the USA in 7 weeks and the exchange rate is freaking terrible, I hate the state of our economy ;)

I predict the house of cards to start falling very shortly. Don’t be fooled by glossy budgets and miniature surplus.
Globally speaking, January 18th 2020 Martin Armstrong predicts problems.
But, don’t mind me, I couldn’t even see Burgoyne backflipping. :D

A few left field trade ideas for Ah Chee and Martin to generate some conversation:

Ah Chee

Lions: 15, Ah Chee, 55
Sun's: 18 and 20

Martin

Suns: Future 1st (3-10) and future 3rd from middle of ladder team (50)
Blues: Martin, Future 2nd from a middle of ladder team (25-30)
Middle of ladder team: Suns future 2nd (almost certain 19-20)

I'm going to the US at the end of october for 2 weeks. (Hawaii, Vegas) just been trying to wait for a good time to buy currency lol

Martin Arthur Armstrong is an American self-taught economic forecaster who uses his own computer model based on pi. He was convicted in 1999 of cheating investors out of seven hundred million dollars and hiding fifteen million dollars in assets from regulators...…….seems credible enough
