What's your thoughts on what we would have to give up for B Crouch.. pick 14/15 and a future first would be plenty, surely?

Yeh, that would probs be overs?

Our future first could be anywhere from 1 to 8 I guess. That alone would probs be enough?

They might prefer that though, as it gives them more Lukosius ammo for next year if he decides he wants home and Port are also in the hunt.

But I reckon Crouch is probably worth pick 6-10, depending on what we can muster up.

Saw a decent idea of snaring the Blues pick 8 for Martin, and sending 14 back.
Then 8 for BCrouch.
Could also add in the Ah Chee pick depending on what we get as a sweetener 🤷‍♂️

Tom Morris just said On The Couch that Adelaide would only trade Crouch to us if we give up "a really good pick i.e. pick 2". Can we trade our pick 15 and Jack Martin to try to move up the draft order and use that pick to secure Crouch? Carlton have pick 8 and maybe we can get something less significant back in return to secure pick 8 from the Blues and use that to get Crouch?

Morris also said Gold Coast players believe Greenwood is coming to us.

This article say the suns will not give up pick 1 or pick 2 if they get it.

And Lukosius and king are not going anywhere this year

The Victorian spent time in Queensland earlier this month on holidays but has not yet toured the Suns' facilities.
While the Suns are the most interested party, they will refuse to part with pick one should Crouch wish to explore his options.

Pick two – a priority selection they're likely to receive from the AFL Commission – would also be another that is off the table as they anticipate pairing Oakleigh Chargers duo Matt Rowell and Noah Anderson at the top of the NAB AFL Draft.

The Suns are also expected to stand firm on their 2018 top-10 talls – South Australian Jack Lukosius and Victorian Ben King who are yet to extend their contracts beyond 2020.

See you next year Crouch. If he wasn't made of tissue paper he'd be someone to think about, but not at what the Crows would ask for.

Just to **** the Crows we should ask Greenwood to go to the Pre-season draft. Effectively another free agent.

"It's understood Crouch still harbours ambitions to stay at Adelaide but is demanding a new contract before the start of next season and could be forced to look elsewhere to make it happen"

From that same article.. seems like a guy wanting to cash in now after the first injury free season of his 7 year career

Doesn't sound like someone who has much confidence in his body. He sounds desperate.

News reporting Brad Crouch is looking around for $1mil a year either fro m Crows or outside club.
Love to get him but $1Mil is only for elite ,he is not elite.
$ 800000 absolute tops from me.
Why are some of our fans SO afraid to spend money? We're languishing at the bottom of the ladder and we've been linked to a player entering his physical peak who can genuinely make a difference yet there's resistance from some fans. I just don't get it.

Sure you could always say a move like this might come back to cost us another player down the track but we're never going to break the cycle if we don't do something different. You could also say we'd be overpaying but the realistic nature of sitting this low on the ladder is that you have to overpay to bring in quality players that are wanted elsewhere. The Lions probably gave Lachie Neale more than he was actually worth this time last year but now he's probably getting underpaid because he's been a revelation for them. It goes both ways.

Let's try something different.

Crouch is a hard pass for me.

It all seems to coordinated.
The day he is linked to us is the day he wants a million bux ..

Manager deffinetly pumping up his tyres to get a better deal at the crows.

Explains why Crouch knows nothing of our offer.

Much rather a clean 25 touches then a 40 touches at 50% efficiency

He ain't no Lachie Neale, Neale wanted to get to Lions. Crouch's manager is just putting him on the auction block to get a reaction from the Crows.

You don't pay $1m for a player that isn't much better than Lyons.

I think the reality of the situation is that Adelaide cannot afford to lose both Crouch and Greenwood.
They’ve already lost, Betts, they’ve lost Jenkins and they might lose some more. To me it sounds like Crouch knows Greenwood’s leaving, so he’s leveraging us to increase the Crows offer and playing up the “we don’t have a coach and I’m considering my options” tactics. Smart by him and his management. But... in saying that, we must also play the game in the off chance he backflips and wants to leave.
It’s all a game and I’m sure they all know how the game works...

If we get Greenwood and Ellis it will be way better than I expected this off season. Crouch would be handy but it's not going to happen. I would be happy if we go hard for someone else next year when we will be hopefully on up.

I want to believe next year our young midfielders will take another step and in 2021-2022 will start killing it together with Rowell/Anderson, Rankine.

Greenwood actually excites me - only 50 games, debuted in 2017, good body, still a lot of upside. He would be our best tackler with 6.1, 4.5 clearances, DE 74%, multiple positions, 2n round pick should do. With another preseason he should improve his tank and spend more minutes in midfield.

Billy Stretch (Melbourne)

Gold Coast has genuine interest after the Demons told their best athletic player they would have to wait until after the trade period before deciding whether they will offer him a contract. The Suns need to add run after fading late in so many games and he’s only 23 with upside after 47 games.

Chris Masten (West Coast)

Career is in limbo as he looks for a new home. Fremantle appeared to be his best bet but they’re not banging down his door. Gold Coast said no.

I absolutely think you need to trade him if he wont sign on for a few more years. Adelaide will pay massive overs to get him.

Plus a future first is massive overs considering his injury history.
To be honest, I was thinking Adelaide will want plenty for him as he is contracted and he is damn good.. he is exactly what we need. Elite on ballers don't want to come here as a rule so circumstances may dictate that we throw the kitchen sink at it.
I think with injury history rightly or wrongly U roll the dice a little and if it works out and the young blokes come on, maybe next year's first is not a top 5 pick..
What could go wrong?? Ha

He's at best A grade, not elite.

The blokes who were getting votes last night were elite.

in 2019 only

83 games in 7 seasons and is looking for big $$$ after his only season without injuries
He would be a free agent next year and clubs wont need to trade and he would get good money after 2 years of good form

whats his hurry ?
