Great stuff, fully supported here. The AFL mucked it up in the start up, couldn't do anything last year with Carlton below you but have come to the party this year with you clear bottom.

You need to be clever with the picks now and hopefully retain Lukocious and King. Could be Brisbane like and turn around quickly if you get buy in from the kids.

Need to land the correct mature players as well, massively strong draft hand this year and also 2020 gives you scope, you don't want to be cheated like you have been over several recent seasons by other clubs, this time hold out for good picks for the wantaways.

Yeah mate he is. Playing quality footy in the NEAFL as a 16/17 year old last year. Is 190cms tall and and only 75 odd kilos has a lot of growth left in him. Gonna be a good footballer

The Picks are great and the #1 was a given and #20 a bonus this year and good on the afl for doing it , I also love the picks for the next 2 years but dont like the idea of being half pregnant and not being able to use/trade them yet .They should be used this year for a trade like a Brad Crouch type deal

Academy situation is a very good deal and probably long run will be the best part of it.
10 Rookie spots is what i have wanted you guys to get to allow a deeper list and the ability to take both kids and mature players to improve the bottom end of the list.

* The main thing i wanted the Suns to be given was an extra $1,000,000 on the cap which doesnt look like it has happened and that would have been great to help get the 3/4 mid aged top players and keep them.

But pretty good result and again congratulations

The club is allowed to trate the picks.

I was watching the AFL's presser and when asked about the salary cap, they said they considered it however they are strong on having an equal comp with equal salary caps across the board.

Yeah I would have loved some sort of extra salary cap, mainly just to drive Eddie crazy.. oh and congrats on the premiership! Couldn't have done it without pillaging us of our star players.. oh on second thought shove that Premiership up your arse!

As far as I'm aware, their standard rookie salary is outside the cap. Anything excess on the standard rookie contract value goes into the main salary cap.

Mostly this is about accruing a Magic Pudding of draft picks like GWS had
The more you eats the more you gets scenario
It is bad when you lose a pick 1 or 2 to another Club but you are generally getting something back in return- sometimes more high picks
Our history is littered with picks in the 10-20 range that have literally just ended up being delisted or traded for magic beans
