I am definitely keen on Broadbent as a rookie. Can come in and do a job down in defence if someone goes down. He is by no means a bad player.

averaged 23/6.8 in the SANFL and 19/6 in the AFL this year

- 4 of our top 10 at the club championship (Macpherson, Ballard, Hombsch, Miles)
- Leading goal kicker (sexton)
- All of our key defenders (Collins, Hombsch, Thompson)
- Actual mooted recruits (Greenwood)

In favour of Casboult (good year but no chat about GC as far as I'm aware), Menzel (horrible), Corey Ellis who last year looked like a mediocre reserves player, and playing our forwards in defence.

He looks like he needs some GC Sunshine and lifestyle. I mean being stuck in Adelaide would be enough for anyone to struggle surely.

I’d probably hit him up with a shorter more lucrative contract.
2 year 650k
That way he gets a good pay day now.
If in the back of his mind he hasn’t made his decision about Melbourne later in his career he might be more inclined to sign for shorter term and see what we can achieve in the next few years.
Also gets him on the market as a 23 year old to sign a 5 year deal and then back on the market as a 28 year old to sign another long term deal.

My opinions are about the Suns becoming a thriving premiership force and that’s his job to make us one.
This is critical.
I’m over the VFL apologists. He needs to exist for us purely. The buck stops with him. Get King’s signature or get out of my city back to VFL land and let’s get a local running the show.
