Reminds me of Joel Wilkinson minus the strength. Wilko was easily the best runner at the club (short and long distance) but was not able to play footy at the AFL level to save his life. I think having a guy like that on your list can serve as a benchmark for other players to aim towards so they know what the truly elite level of athleticism looks like but they don't offer a lot else outside that.

Patrick Murtagh

Murtagh has a really interesting background. He only stands 196cms which is pretty small for a ruckman at the AFL level but has a standing vertical jump of 81cms. He's also been playing footy for less than two years after initially succeeding as a decathlete and is a TSS Old Boy. Perhaps there's a chance we draft him with these extra rookie spots and try to turn him into a key forward who can pinch hit in the ruck? Similar to the Kurt Tippett experiment back in the day.

Personally, I would much rather prefer Suns talking to McIntosh than Broadbent.

It'd be nice if Ben King had a really good mate from VIC that maybe just missed out in his draft year, someone that looks like maybe peaking at VFL standard. I wonder if our draft/trade team would look at rookie-ing a semi-talented 'gettable' mate from home for a couple years? Someone not his effing brother.

Could be a shrewd move, burn a rookie spot, keep a superstar?

I'm just going to come out and say (print) it......There are so many different scenarios happening at the same time and we all have our opinions on what should be going down, but most of us have no idea what's going on in the Suns centre of it all, except maybe "eppo67" , SO I'M TOLD....

So lets just allow it to happen and if we don't agree with something, then let the Club know.
However I'm putting my faith in the current administration, and if they let me down, then I don't re-new....that may be a simplistic look at things but it's the best I can come up with......cause reading as many BF posts as I have, it's doing my head in...

And I'm over it.....I think I'll join Mr Bods in a self exile....

It looks like he’s good mates with Jack Bell a 201cm ruckman who he went to school with and played Vic Metro as well.
It’s not a bad idea.

See Cody Weightman - apparently we are interested and he was the year below Ben at Haileybury and the added bonus is he can actually play. Not sure how good a mate he is of Ben though.
