We have listed players that are nowhere near as good as Keays and Walker.

Keays just loves footy. Reckon he'd be happy to take base pay as a rookie on your extended list and would absolutely boss the NEAFL at worse. Reckon he's the perfect player to take advantage of the extra rookie spots.

We would have to abolsutely decimated for him to get close to a game I'd reckon.

Yes, we would be crazy to consider Keays even for NEAFL. He is a terrible disposal. We will most probably have to move some of our mature players on rookies list (C. Ellis, GHS, Young, ...). The rest is for academy players who may actually turn out goods. Powell over Keays every time even now. I would not mention Rowell and Anderson when talking about Keays.

Fair call if you're looking to add best 22 Calibre players to the team through the rookie list.

Can you tell me why we would want him on the rookie list though - what does he add to our club?
Would rather bring on Ace, and consider Gore or Conroy.

Josh walker should definitely be considered. He would be fantastic depth, be able to come in a do a job if needed.

Lions fans who frequent our board keep saying that Keays is an inside midfielder who is asked to play forward.
I don't think we need to bring in a 26 year old in order to dominate the NEAFL.

We just delisted Brad Scheer who was 22 and did the same thing.

Not sure why those of us that are open to finding spots for them have to be put down.

I would look at Keays and Walker. Good age demographics. Something to prove. Rookie list.

Yeah but these guys Heron, Schoenfeld etc.. are all contracted.
If we've got the cash to pay out contracts and delist those guys I'm ok with that.
Was just thinking about it from a capacity of either having Keays or a rookie academy kid.

Because thats essentially the choice isn't it? Do you think we are going to delist players mid contract?

He's kicked 11 goals in 30 games playing as a small pressure forward with a bit of mid time perhaps. Not exactly lighting up the scoreboard.
