Will we play three first gamers in Rankine, Rowell and Anderson? Seems a lot for Round 1.

All of them would debut for a top 8 side so why not for the worst side in the comp

I agree the sooner they are all playing for us the better. Just historically, clubs don’t normally debut more than a couple of players in Round 1.
I’d like to see it happen though.

You would think by the way some of them act they are a contending team, they are a Cripps injury away from “contending” for a spoon

We need to pick our best 22 no matter their age or experience.
At this stage several spots are up for grabs.
Signs of improving are promising.

A good point but they also made some questionable selection decisions throughout the year and went out to terrorise one player which resulted in a flogging

Yeah his price was ridiculous. I was always against getting him at the price and therefore the subsequent trade that would need to be done.
He’s just not that good.

The Jack Martin saga is very sad all round
If he was genuinely unhappy here then the pressure in Melbourne from the typical Carlton fan won't be conducive to improving his mental state if he's on a million a year
We lose a decent player who gets on the park regularly for nix, Carlton pays overs, and the player is now under all sorts of pressure- and I guess we feel he's not the sort of personality that has shown resilience in that sense in his time here
Could all have been avoided with a sensible Carlton list manger in play

Is this Crouch we're talking about? I'm not a big fan off him coming round to the club for a million, best I'd do is 700k but that's off random numbers in my head. I don't doubt his ability or anything but I'm worried he might cause a bit of a disturbance in the group if he's brought and paid heaps. Some players like fiorini might be forced out with him coming in. Totally not his fault, I just worry about the clubs stability sometimes, and how small things to catch fire quickly

Crouch is not elite so wouldn't be paying through the nose for him.
No doubt he is a good player though - if we have someone like that wanting to come - I think we should try make it work at the right price.
