I can see it happening tbh, only because I think freo will go for more skillful, outside types, and Adelaide could go McCasey at 6.. if Melbourne do us a favor and bid on Green (although I don't think they will), then pull the trigger on Pickett he could slide right down to the 11-15 range. Robertson could learn alot from Davey Swallow and a Rowell/Anderson/Robertson would be an amazing midfield in years to come.

I think the draft could go something like this

1. GC - Rowell
2. GC - Anderson
3. Melb - Jackson
4. GWS - Ash
5. GWS - Green (matched bid)
6. Syd - Flanders
7. Adel - McAsey
8. Freo - Stephens
9. Freo - Young
10. Freo - Henry (matched bid)
11. Carl - Weightman
12. Melb - Kemp
13. Hawks - Robertson
14. PA - Bergman
15. WB - Pickett
16. Geel - Worrell

If Robertson were to drop down to Hawthorns pick then maybe we could trade with them, securing a later pick to pick Buddarick as well

I would be pretty stoked with Robertson, same size as what Dave was back in the day, Both larke medallists and both have leadership attributes. Would be a big win if we got 3 out of the 5 best inside mids in the draft

Disagree - he was going even worse up forward. Totally not his fault as our game plan and the execution of our mids works against him at this stage of his development.

He needs a team that can honour his tremendous leading patterns. Bombing the ball on his head does him no good as he isn't strong by AFL standards and he's not a one grab mark.

I think this year he plays back as part of his education and use his elite disposal to most benefit the team. As soon as Dew can see that our mids are up to standard (towards end of this year or 2021) to best utilise his forward talents he will be switched into attack.

I like the Rivers pick at 20 as a player with size that has versatility is useful for team balance.

Gould would also be very handy if we decide to go early at 15

While I agree about ah Chee and Martin played their best football for us in the forward line lukosius looked much better down back.. don’t forget pavlich was an all Australian Blackman for freo before shifting forward

Elijah taylor - a bit high at pick 20 but so is will Powell. Rookie pick NT Parnell.

Hailing from Sacred Heart College and Woodville-West Torrens in Adelaide, Matthew was selected by Fremantle with the fourth pick in the 1999 National Draft.
He starred in a number of roles for the Dockers over his 17-year career, becoming the first and only WA based player to play over 300 AFL games. Matthew was named as an All-Australian six times including in the midfield, fullback, half forward and full forward. Early in his career Matthew helped Fremantle advance to their first finals series in 2003 and a preliminary finals berth in 2006.

Not a popular opinion, I don't think Gore will get draft by GC this year,but if he is available next year should be pre listed. Dawson, Heron, shoenfield, Collins all will be out of contract this year.

Really don’t want Day! A pencil thin kid that will take 5 years to develop. Players the size of Rowell,Anderson are Round 1 ready!

Say what you want about Captain Time Trial but he leveraged some questionable talent into a decent stint on an AFL list and a fair amount of cash to allow him to enjoy whatever post football plans he's got. Got to respect the hustle.

Yeah a bit of a given there, If Ashton can prove himself at Southport there's every chance he gets mid-season drafted by someone at some point.

Not everyone is Jack Martin, Get him into a professional set up and watch him stack the muscle on.

If he ends up around how good his cousin is without injuries he'll be a good hand for us for the foreseeable future. Not everyone needs to be round 1 ready.
 
I think Will day is perfect for GC, with GHS, Miles, Murdoch guiding him in Neafl
rowson (Rowell and Anderson) playing in AFL
