Damn..
Depends on what the tigers are offering I'm ok with offering Ellis a slightly better contract.. Ellis will add something to the list despite his deficiencies, is Josh Schoenfeld but obviously better.

Cross our fingers.
If we get Greenwood, CEY, Ellis + Anderson, Rowell. + one out of left field it's still an upgrade on our current bottom 7-8.

A half eaten pastie is better than our current bottom 7-8

Dew would be getting back from his holiday asking wtf happened.

Agree with the poster who mentioned it, is Cameron largely responsible for this blunder? His track record for us (though brief) has not been very good so far.

No one's track record has been very good so far.

Burgoyne turned down $1m to not come to our club.

The most concerning part of this is they couldn't close the deal even with the advantages of the GC and the huge amount of cash on offer. Serious questions need to be asked if Cameron is the right man if he can't attract anyone even when paying 4x more than the next best offer.
On the record he is catching up to Clayton level.

A 31 year old Grant Birchall would be the better risk than Burgoyne, at least he could get 3-4 years if he can get body right.
