Seriously the bad luck this club has had, think we're getting a top 2 pick, Carlton hit form and Melbourne decide to tank and the bloke next on the list at 3 does an ACL in one of the weakest drafts for top end talent.

Its almost getting to 'we're gonna trade the pick territory'

Yep - straight up to GC for Luko thanks

Paywalled but you get the drift from what you can see

If the AFL give GC a PP before our pick, we should sue the AFL for compensation. So f**king what that GC want Rowell and Anderson..I am sure we want Anderson or Rowell as well and since a PP has not been granted for a decade, if the AFL cnuts start now, our club HAS to act to protect the integrity of our pick trade. Our club should be hammering home to the bloody AFL that under no circumstances now that live pick trading is here and has already been undertaken, that it should in any way be compromised and giving a front end PP is going to do just that

Could actually play into our favour if the AFL say it has to be traded.

Give them 4 and player/s. Sucked in Melbourne.

Is more high end picks really going to solve their problem of player retention? A better way would be to give them a high salary cap to help retain their current players and/or attract mature aged players for depth.

As long as the PP isn't at the start of the draft first round it would be ok - otherwise they'd be trading pick #2 with a club - why would it necessarily be with us? So then some other club, maybe a current strong club, gets to parachute in before our (Carlton) r1 pick.

He knew more about these kids than anyone else on the board, though he did have his favourites

Back on topic, got a chance to watch Dylan Stephens and Cam Taheny on the weekend. Stephens was the better of the 2 by some margin albeit against ordinary opposition.

Smooth mover in traffic, real good left foot and does have a turn of pace. Cam struggled to get involved Sunday, bit disappointing but he's a good kid and will bounce back.

We've spoken to both kids multiple times.
