2019 Draft

With Dow he doesn’t have all the pieces to his game yet but with some development he will be a star. Is great at hitting the ball with speed in stoppage situations, has great hands in the contest and has shown the ability to go forward to hit the scoreboard. With RCD, Ross & Graham the tigers have enough inside bulls and with Dow they now have some speed.
Now just need to add some more class and size with the later picks

In fairness, most commercial draft experts mainly watch National Championships and TAC Cup finals. Dow did his best work away from them.

Richmond I know had scouts watch him a lot. We know what we are getting. His ability to go forward and take a Mark makes this juicy.

your post fills me with confidence

should never doubt our club....we know our shit

We just tried to piss Carlton off like they did to us last year with stocker.
Not sure why we would do tit for tat with a bottom feeder....
The larke medallist or gould would of got me hard for sure...
Sometimes it is fun to kick arrogant tools when they are down

He’s also one of the younger boys in this years crop isn’t he?
So definitely plenty of upside

he is 182cm,

I cannot even see him getting a game for two years minimum even if he develops.

I would even trade out rest of 2019 draft picks, shift Stack and Pickett off the rookies and move drafts picks to 2020

Thanks Bob.
Why is Robertson sliding?

Drafting is mostly about upside. Robertson is similar to Jack Graham in the sense his work rate and spread from the contest is elite for an U18 kid and he dominates U18 as a result and will translate that to AFL level much like Graham did. From Richmonds perspective do you go for the guy who has the elite tools but doesn't currently know how to make the most of them and may never or do you settle for another Jack Graham. I love Jack Graham but we don't need two of him.

Robertson would have been a better pick , Thomson Dow is a decent player and is one of the younger players but geez would have been surprised if he was not still on the board at 38.

Very under whelming

Dow was never falling to 38, he was always going Top 25. Philp was probably who they wanted more but were jumped by Carlton. Dow is very talented, as much as I like Robertson he doesn’t really fit what the Tigers need atm

I think we needed to take Robertson Bianco or Sharp. Dow needs to be 300% better than his brother to just be an average AFL footballer. I just hope our recruiters havent started drinking their own bath water. Right now I feel underwhelmed by the Dow selection.

Why on earth is everyone complaining about overlooking an inside midfielder when we have 3 developing ones, with two already well at the level and one looking well on track at getting there.
Because our best 1 we want to play as a forward and our second best 1 is a year or 2 off retirement.
I thought naish an Bolton were our next outside speed guns...
Strange selection
