The reserve side might look something like

DES Garthwaite Short
Turner Balta Baker
Naish Ross Mcintosh
English Miller Markov
Aarts Chol ?
CCJ RCD Higgins

Its not a perfect projection for draft needs but a decent rough guide

Strong team.
Seem to remember reading Higgo won't be available till midseason at best.

Yep, two surgeries, expect caution, even overly so. He's still so young.

Would be a huge bonus to get higgo up and running

from a selfish point of view. of course his health comes first
Was running my eye over some stats from the first half of this year, was quite a few times Higgo was getting up around 20-25 possessions. I think he’s got lost amongst the euphoria of the flag and the excitement around Stack and to a lesser extent Ross. Higgo is still one of our very best and most promising youngsters. Will be just like Zorko in time imo

Another way of looking at it is Richmond is in the premiership window now

whats the best option for putting more silverware in the cabinet in the short-mid term via the upcoming drafts?

So I got the Nab league app to work and watched 3 games of Sam Philp vision which shows every touch he had.

He's got high intensity and you can see he's the quickest player on the field but his disposal is very rushed and lacks composure even with his handpasses after he's found some space.

Maybe with training he can slow his mind and make better decisions but I'm not sure I'd be taking the risk at our first pick.

Players don’t tend to “find” composure. You either see the game playing out ahead of you or you don’t.

I think you're right but I've seen on the rare occasion that it can be done. Luke Dahlhaus at U18 level was an absolute panic merchant but when he got in the AFL system all of sudden he played with a lot more composure. Dan Jackson is another I think also took his disposal to another level when he started meditating regularly.

Immediately thought of Dan Jackson as well, and Dan commented on it about himself as well.

In the short term? It's actually to trade picks for ready made players.
We didn't do that this year though, so we are banking on organic improvement from young players to keep us ahead of the pack.
If we are still looking like contending in 2021, I wouldn't mind rolling the dice for 1 more shot at the flag, trade away a first rounder or two and bring in an elite player to plug a hole or fill a weakness. Realistically by 2022 the sun is probably setting on this golden era.

*checks what year it is*

some players in the draft are ready made by the sounds of things; Green, Young, Kemp (post injury recovery)

especially in the top 10, no safe bet of course (outside of Rowell who looks fail proof) but they bode 'ready to go'.

Point is in the short term it's hard to tell which draftees will impact early or take time, as opposed to more established players traded for.

i wonder if the rumors were true Richmond made a play for Crouch
Very well possible, would have been great to add to the midfield. What's done is done though and so we now have to put our faith in organic improvement. Many clubs will improve, the hope is we can keep up with the improvement and not get jumped in 2020 by someone else.

Haven’t read in weeks.
Who are we into/getting?

its pick 19 with a some third rounders , couple of premierships and bunch of talented kids in the twos & live trading, could be anything

i for one am looking forward to it the richmond list is a fascinating thing. Its getting more fun without the list blockers

Can you tell me where Young is expected to go in the draft? Best user of the ball ive seen at U18. See video below.
