Update from the cousin...

Trent Bianco was interviewed by the Bombers today.

Given they don't have a pick early enough to get him, they may be looking at live trading.

What will they be trading, the documents from Dank's laboratory?

Because I disagree with you I am defeatist, LOL. It wouldn't give them more points try again. Our future third 55

No not because you may or may not disagree with me, because you stated "there would be little value trading 9 places" when the compensation was still to be determined.

I favor strategies which improve the prospects of the team going forward rather than the lazy approach of doing nothing and sitting on our hands. I would rather the team know we are fully behind them supporting them in whatever way possible!!

what about when its in their favour and our favour or do we prefer the lazy approach off field??

You only trade up if you want to get a certain player not for the sake of it. To get the pick off GWS we need to do it 30 picks ahead, so we’d have no idea who’s going to be there.

Your like an ADD kid that just has to do something. Guess what! Waiting and taking our picks is doing something. Stop with your stupid hypotheticals that yield absolute no benefit to the club.

COOPER STEPHENS
POS:
Midfielder
Ht 188cm, Wt 83kg, DOB 17/1/01
From Geelong Falcons/Vic Country

DRAFT PROFILE Bio, stats, highlights and more

Stephens is right in Richmond's mix and fits the prototype of the Tigers: hard, contested and tough. It would have been interesting to see where Stephens went in this year's draft had he played all season, because you get the sense he would have dominated as a big, strong inside midfielder. Nevertheless, he has overcome the broken leg that ruined his draft campaign and he returned to star at the Draft Combine and show his wares. The midfielder has good hands in close and opponents find it hard to stop him around the ball. Could be a steal at this point of the draft.

If not him? Midfielders Jay Rantall and Trent Bianco are in the mix for the Tigers, as are Harrison Jones and Sam De Koning. They could be the club that bids on Hawks father-son Finn Maginness.

You know, Collingwood is a dumb club who make some dumb decisions but at least they work hard to try and win. At least Eddie has energy and has a crack. Not having a crack at our leaders either around the club but given our history there is still work to do to ostracise past cobwebs!!

You are weak and entitled and I do not care for your opinion.

When you say I am like a kid and refer to my input as stupid what makes you think I value your currency??? What makes you think your name calling allows me not to disrespect you??

Dusty kicked great goals to help win the premiership. I would hate the club off field to live off the deeds of certain players like Dusty and other players just to serve their own purposes!!!

Sure many are great team players and staff off field that work hard and do their best for the teams benefit but really the new recruiting manger highlights how bad unchecked past deeds where in the past and frankly I would hate to see history repeat!!

ADD is about motion, its about not resting on your laurels, its about continuous improvement, it is about not satisfied with the status quo, its is about not putting the que in the rack, its is about hunger, its is about drive, it is about not becoming what we were in the 1980's and beyond for 30 plus years, it is about effort, it is about continuing forever to find a way to make the team play even better and to keep on succeeding. I am not going to apologise for my hunger for more success!!!

reckon he listened to our podcast last night based on those predictions!

even down to the Hawks Father-son bid, crazy stuff.

Would take either at First pick no hesitation, don't think we will get the chance. De Koning could be anything, 200cm and athletic abilities off the chart, could be a Key forward, back or ruck. Day is super silky, once his body develops look out.

Was hearing all week it would be Trent Rivers at our pick, but hearing there could be a more fancied player drop that we weren't expecting. Pickett rising and Freo bypassing Robertson could shuffle a few things. From what i've mapped out, I wonder if that player is De Koning or Worrell? I expect more info to be flooding in by around 5 or 6pm....

We will get a very good player regardless.
if De Koning is available at Richmonds first pick, that wouldn't be unexpected, would it (?)

seems to be rated around 20-30 (?)
A month ago, whispers were he had gone into Port or Geelong's picks before us. Robertson dropping may release him to fall. won't be a massive fall but I didnt think he would get through.

200cm bloke who is athletically gifted, good below his knees, reads the play well and has above average skills... he's only discovering his height as he had a massive growth spurt of 15 cm or something crazy recently. I feel at a good club who can develop him, he can be anything. Long term Astbury replacement?
I wouldnt be totally upset if we selected De Koning with pick #22 , He has massive upside both as a foward & defender but he is a beautiful mark and reads the play well.

There will be mids available with our later picks that will slide but Brock Smith & Sam De Koning is a great start to building our future defence post Astbury/Houli
Exactly. We need a developing tall KPP and De Koning has as many tools as any in this draft. Loses nothing in comparison to McAsey in my eyes. He's not the athletic freak that Darcy Moore is (few are) but has the potential to develop on similar lines to Harris Andrews or Alex Pearce as a 200cm key back.

His brother is coming along at Carlton and should see more game time with Curnow out.
No issue if we do take De Koning.Makes sense in a way considering we loaded up last year with mid types.

All the phantoms have us taking Cooper Stephens so we must be going to take him, just like we took Stocker last year
Watch the bloos swap pick 9 for 20 just to take De Koning before us.
They see that as a win against us just like Stocker.

Also, the draft profiles this year has been pathetic. Half the players don't have highlight videos, and the ones that do are like a minute long and don't even show anything. You can't find them on YouTube either..
Pathetic is the word.

Who the fu** are you pal? :D
These blow ins who lob at the end of the season to bask in the reflected glory of a premiership are annoying.

Great result for us.... Would love Brock Smith in our backline.

Pressure gauge ladder: The clubs who can’t afford to flop at the AFL draft

I would not have ranked Suns 1. There is zero expectation on them. Fremantle & Adelaide & Saints & North have changed coaches. Essendon is changing next year. Top of the list is Dees & Port.
But accurate comment about RFC. Going to be hard for a draftee to get a game. But game 1 2019 had Weller, Lynch & Balta play their first games for the club. Reward for a player, Balta. Have a look at the traded in players. Lynch & Weller. In 2020 there may be no traded in players. So, another 2 or 3 players who had great pre seasons will get a chance. Ellis spot is up for grabs.
