Hmm kicking isn’t strong but his potential is untapped.

Breakaway pace is very good, smart player and athletically a great runner.

I would of gone Jones or Worrell here but it’s a sound decision.

I’m actually trying to find out if Philp is who we wanted. Reckon that may have been a chance actually.

I think we value a certain athletic profile. One Carlton are trying to copy in my mind.

If Dow had a better champs he would of been a top 15 pick. He’s got areas to work on but his ceiling is huge. Inside burst player who can go forward and dominate. His marking is brilliant as to is his footy smarts.

Had him in my top 25 and that was probably with watching a lot of the Championships where he wasn’t great.

Kicking isn't much of an issue these days for us given our gameplan. A missed target plays into our pressure game plan.

Then why not take Dev Robertson Groc ? Far better player. Was talked about as Top10 up until this week. Go home factor? Loves the Eagles.

Still amazes me that every year players get taken earlier than they been rated by average draft watchers and people complain when others get taken ahead of them. Too often people fall for what the players are like against U18 comp and don't look to see whether that can be translated at the next level.

In fairness, most commercial draft experts mainly watch National Championships and TAC Cup finals. Dow did his best work away from them.

Richmond I know had scouts watch him a lot. We know what we are getting. His ability to go forward and take a Mark makes this juicy.

Why is Robertson sliding?

His kicking. Maybe more to it that I wouldn’t know but if he gets picked at pick 23 it’s about right.

What people are forgetting is this is probably the most even draft, we’ll ever! You could throw a blanket over 30 of them.
