I don't think speed is an issue, looked very quick in his video and is noted by all pre drafts that he is quick. Don't read to much into those 20m times, my son did those and was slower than many of his team mates, but on a footy field they were miles behind him. I like his quick movement while standing up (as opposed to the sprinters starting position), he looks to have a serious step and great agility.I would take a punt on Williams and Taheny but do not anticipate them to reach our picks. Fraser Phillips for a late stab otherwise 2021 focus.
I had a look at Dow.
He runs a 3.06 20 metre sprint which is considered average. He is 183 cm 4 cm less than his brother he is still on the light side at 76 cm. The trouble is he is inconsistent to per Afldraft central profile. He will need to get better enduro and improve size and strength. Will this affect his speed and consistency?
Can he play back in a role before improving consistency??
The thing is the lack of a real competitive strength like size or speed could be why he is inconsistent apart from injury. I think atm he is a project player but I wish him the best in his development and I hope he really accelerates his development
Nearly is not good enough.Nearly ran Walsh over last year on his way to his first training session. True story.

How is Dow to short to play Cotchin's role, 2cm. Rowell therefore would also be too short. Dow could easily play Castagna's role down the track. Good in the air and on the deck, and could go through the midfield. He was also not a speculative pick, Chris Doerre had him at 15. Our scouts have obvious spent a lot of time watching him, and given that he played mostly in the schools system not may NAB watchers would have seen much of his best work.Thats fine but what role is he going to play?
Eg, get Williams, Thayen and or Fraser Phillip.
Over time replace Castagna or Lambert or others as they age or help out on the wing for lefties as part of rotations. In the forward line complimentary support Dusty, JR and or his replacement, Lynch and the smalls with left footed shots and leads etc..
With Dow who does he replace? To short for Cotch replacement, can't see him replacing Prestia, does not have the size of Graham, Edwards could go on for another 4 years or so. Plus there are others like Rioli and Bolton, that are quicker with more forward line tricks. So what is Dows role??
If we get Cooper Stephens goes in the guts, Dusty goes forward and stays there till needed, helps Cotch. Same with Philps might rotate with Cotch, rotations with Ross and Pickett
Georgardis replaces JR if good enough when JR retires generally. What role is for Dow?? It is not clear for me and he might be jack of a few trades master of none because role wise he is pretty incomplete so far and speculative. Too high a pick for speculation for me when a he has to develop yet and if he does that b there has to be an effective role or him!!
GoldSpoke to a guy at the club and no one even knew who Philp was until Carlton read his name out.
lidsBrilliant idea and he can present the Cup in 2020 too
knightmare has said he is a poor mans Paddy dow

Where did you read he runs a 3.06 second 20m sprint??I would take a punt on Williams and Taheny but do not anticipate them to reach our picks. Fraser Phillips for a late stab otherwise 2021 focus.
