LOL, as I said earlier, spoke to a guy at the club and we hadn't heard of Philp before. The recruiters were laughing about it in the room.

We weren't as keen on him as Carlton fans like to think we were. IMO Carlton fan have taken us interviewing kids who will be around our pick in the draft as being genuinely interested in them, when it's just doing your due diligence in case our preferred targets aren't there.

I think the latter is probably the better option.

Said earlier I can see us try and snare a pick in the next 10 if we can to get one of the sliders, one of Norths 3 picks would be ideal, which would then give us 5 picks inside the top 40-45.

Something like R1 2020 & 54 for 32 & a 2020 R3 pick

Robertson's kicking is not great, but then kicking in general is not great across the board these days IMO.
He is contested ball beast, but we have plenty of them.
Dow offers outside leg speed and can win his own ball.
We have the luxury and time to be able to select project players.

I think it’s more to do with a bunch of mock drafts last draft having us take him. Apparently he was a ‘ready made’ player... how many games did he play for Carlton this past season?

I have been permanently banned for the blues board since the Yarran days

I was banned for saying he was not worth a first round draft pick.

Which he wasnt, and I am still banned

Dow seems to be the player we hoped we had in Corey Ellis which just never happened.

Dow great agility pretty good speed has elite hands for clearance work which goes well with shedda and meatball who are two of the better handballers in the game. He also has a second string to his bow that he can go forward and be a extremely hard match up and is dangerous down there the other exciting thing is he’s a bottom ager so plenty of upside we did the same last year when we picked up Fraser turner

Are there other names I’d have taken before him absolutely but if we didn’t get shafted by the Ellis compo due to the comp whinging no one says anything if we walk away with one of Robertson/worrell/Bianco/sharp and then Dow with 22/23 with two more picks to come in the 30’s
