It has been disheartening the past three years to know the season is a write off at round 12, or even before then.

6-6 in 2017 and 6-7 in 2018 heading into the bye week, albeit with dreadful %. It's more like they've given us false hope in the first half of the season only to completely die in the arse and fall off a cliff in the second half. I understand much of that is the kids being tired but we shouldn't be that green next year, as tants pointed out, so really there's no more excusing going 7/8 weeks without a win or basic competitiveness

I'm expecting something similar to what North did last year. Competitive most weeks, a few great upsets here and there but just missing out on the 8 in the end.

North's team on the park was old. Whilst a little bit older, our team will still be young or possibly middle of the road.

None at the moment. I’ll feel better once Hogan is in training and the forwards can gel. I’m not sure that Hale is still the forwards coach we need either. Reckon we need a bit more experience there with the newbies.

- Have half of our wins in the 2nd half of the season
- 10 wins minimum
- More disciplined structures in place, this comes with more experience on the park more regularly and the 1/2YR players being more experienced
- 100pt losses eradicated
- 3 quarters of competitiveness in losses, not 2
- 90%

The big one for me is, I feel like we could be a threat to make finals although I have no faith in our medical department. Good chance unless something emerges in the next couple of months that the Injury List woes will continue to haunt us.

Hoping to get Hogan on the park, and less injuries next year. The rest will take care of itself - will take some time to gel but a few more wins than this year and smaller losses.

So just confirming, have we got rid of our strength and conditioning person? Would be nice to know who the replacement is.

I just want better off field standards which will lead to better on field performances. Goal should be the 8 but if we are more competitive (away in particular) it's not the end of the world if we don't. If we have a good injury run top 8 should be the minimum expectation (but we know how unlikely that is for us).

Both this year and last year I thought the wins flattered us. Percentage is usually more indicative of quality.

Ride that feeling of excitement and enthusiasm as far it takes us. If the dogs, Richmond and West Coast can do it, why can't we.

Because we have a shitty coach that defends unlike Tigers and West Coast, happy to see his approval rating 2nd worst in the league, can't wait for the refresh

With Belly moving on crabs like Sheridan and Sutty, no more D Pearce maybe we can hit passes and actually rebound well without butchering it, if we continue with no forward game plan with Hogan up there its gonna be infuriating, im thinking we can go top 6 if we get it right

That's the rule of thumb.

Look before injuries hit and young guys got tired, we were 6-7 with a percentage of 88.7%.

Then the wheels fell off.

We have lost D Pearce, Johnson, Spurr, and Neale but gained Hogan, Lobb, Conca and Colyer.

Blakely, S Hill, Fyfe, B Hill, Taberner, Logue, Darcy, and Sandilands all missed a large amount of games.

Has to be minimum 10 wins, but the main focus is on game style and ball movement. If we scrape to 10 wins but have a percentage of 80 and kick 11 goals a game Ross has to be given the boot. I can cop another year of missing finals but there has to be tangible evidence of a change for the better. Our best 22 is more than reasonable and I think we've added more depth. Ross knows his arse is on the line this year but he has to prove he is adaptable and not go back into his old habits to save his job. Going to be an interesting season.

Being Freo supporters we tend to only dare hope for slow gradual improvement over a number of years. We dream of things like "less 100 point thrashings would be nice please dear football gods". I'm expecting a 2010 like improvement. Expecting our pick 14 to be the BEST player of the 2018 draft (like a certain pick 20 of a few years back). Expecting a Barlowesque pick to bob up with a late pick and play 20 high end games. Yep, I'm expecting Freo to play and win Finals in 2019.
Then again, I expected to make a fortune from buying all those 1c shares in that potassium mining company that a bloke at the pub told me about.

Attacking game plan - we have the talent up front, no excuses to not average 100 points per game for the season.

Improved injury management - Both Hills out on the park, less soft tissue injuries.

Attitude - come back fit for preseason, no nightclub fights or issues with bouncers, 2nd & 3rd efforts.

Hoping Langdon can step up and take over Lachies place.
