I can see 11 to 12 wins in that fixture which puts us just outside the finals. That should leave us with a realistic chance of finals in 2020 given the rebuild, and hopefully impacting finals in 2021.

Less than that would be disappointing

I can’t see a game we’ll lose. All you ******* pessimists and your 8 win seasons. Hawks are s**t, West Coast will capitulate. GWS gave us their best player. Melbourne gave us their best player. Richmond gave us.... Conca.

We’ll go undefeated.

Forgot Colyer... Essendon’s best... pla... Essendon’s best fringe pla... Essendon’s best small forward fringe pla... Essendon’s best WA born small forward fringe player.

How many Fox and Seven games? Cant see it on the AFL site yet.
Only our Saturday night games will possibly be on 7, so a maximum of 6, but realistically it’ll probably be more like 3 or 4 games on 7

Little disappointed with missing a freebie double up against Carlton/Suns but overall pretty happy. WC and Essendon are guaranteed top 8 imo but the other 3 are in theory all around our level. Some tough away games there but a few that are definitely winnable. I see about 10 wins.

Probably the same posters shitting themselves getting Hogan, I’m with you finals here we come.

I don't think that stuff has been announced yet but it is safe to say our Sunday arvo games will be Fox games going off the past few years.

You’re telling me that instead of the Derby, ******* North v Adelaide and Bulldogs v Geelong will be on 7? ffs. Tbh I would have thought that the Len Hall game was a certainty to be on Fox compared to GWS v Sydney
To add insult, our Len Hall game was suppose to be on Friday night, but they changed it. Our only Friday night game given to Port, so they can have back-to-back Friday night games.
Traditions are seemingly only respected in this league if you happen to be a large Victorian club

The AFL ladder predictor is up, got us to 12 wins and missing finals on %
I did the auto simulator on AFL Ladder predictor.

I am not doing It again due to its ridiculous inaccuracy.

My ladder had....

Richmond on top and undefeated with 22 wins.
Crows 2nd on 21 wins and 1 defeat
Brisbane 3rd on 20 wins and 2 defeats

Freo 6th with 16 wins 6 defeats

Carlton bottom and winless....

West coast..... 17th with one win. Their only win is against Carlton are in the season when both teams are 0-17.

I swung by Cockburn this morning on the off chance there might be some activity. Ryan Nyhuis, Ethan Hughes and Stephen Hill ran a few laps, then Ryan and Ethan did some kick to kick. Ryan is a much better kick than Ethan off both feet, particularly over longer distance.

I think there were a few others in the gym. Scott Jones, Bailey Banfield and Son Son all poked their heads out at different stages. There were also a couple I didn't recognise, assuming it was Reece Conca and Travis Colyer.

Roll on Monday!

I think the mid season game against Adelaide in SA is the decider for the season. Our start is good and our ending isn't the hardest (other than Tas ofc), but if we really want to make the 8 this year, which I think we can. That's the game to win

Port and Sydney are probs gonna be worse this year, but Brissie and Essendon are gonna be 8 contenders as well I reckon.

Making the 8 this year? Could happen, but it'd be a tight fit.

North - Home - WIN

North's backline of circus rejects and cardboard standees fails to contain a rampant Jesse Hogan, who kicks a career high 15 goals. A returning Nathan Fyfe leads from the front with 30 disposals and four goals.

GC - away - WIN

A returning Harley Bennell stars with 27 touches, six clearances and three goals. The WA football community stifles it's collective laughter at Brad Hardie's resulting brain aneurism in the commentary box.

St Kilda - home - WIN

Ross Lyon's masterstroke of playing a Hill brother on each wing leaves the Saints single-paced midfield unable to cope. Dan Hannebery collects roughly $89877897798 for each of his 16 disposals. He smiles knowingly.

Eagles - away - WIN

Inspired by the unintentional comedy of a returning Andrew Gaff flinching and falling over after attempting to square up to Freo Rookie (insert pick 14 here), Rory Lobb wins his first Glendenning-Allan medal and leads Fremantle to a famous two-point victory in one of the greatest Derbies ever. The West and Channel Seven lead with a tear-filled Gaff family, upset by the Freo Cheersquad's decision to chant "lock her up" whenever Andrew went near the ball.

Giants - away - WIN

Joel Hamling blankets Jeremy Cameron, who responds with a wild haymaker after three and a half goalless quarters. It's his most accurate shot on a day where he kicks 0.7 and the Giants go down by three goals.

Dogs - home - WIN

Played as a small forward for the first time since his arrival at Fremantle, an ebullient Brandon Matera kicks his seventh goal to win the Len Hall game after the siren for the Dockers.

Adelaide - away - WIN

With a bad hair day keeping Bryce Gibbs out of the game, Andrew Brayshaw goes on the warparth, registering a record breaking 30 tackles to go with 30 disposals. Adelaide's other midfielders (brown shoes, guy with haircut, exciting but injury prone recruit) at a loss to explain what went wrong.

Richmond - home - WIN

Freo by 18. Hamling and Alex Pearce's shutdown of Tom Lynch and Jack Reiwoldt is so complete, Hardwick flies home without them, mistakenly thinking he'd left them in Melbourne.

Essendon - away - WIN

Fremantle's mosquito fleet has a day out, with Walters, Langdon and Colyer kicking three goals apiece in a 10 goal demolition of the Bombers. The loss, Essendon's first for the year, sees the wheels fall off. Again.

Brisbane - home - WIN

Connor Blakely's 38 touch, 10 tackle, three goal game cements his status as Lachie Neale's taller, younger and better-looking replacement.

Pies - away - LOSS

A clear free kick is missed and Mason Cox goals late in the game to give the Pies the win. Umpire Dean Margetts is found to have failed so badly, he's permanently removed from league duties.

Power - home - WIN

Bouncing back from the Margetts induced heartbreak, Adam Cerra's skillful inside and outside work sees him collect 32 disposals. His delivery gives Jesse Hogan his second 10-goal haul in purple.

Melbourne - away - WIN

Freo's six-goal win sees Sean Darcy complete a rare double, beating Max Gawn both on the ground and in a drinking contest later that night.

Carlton - home - WIN

Think last year's game, but no Carlton goals for the whole four quarters. Mitch McGovern wonders what might have been.

Eagles - home - WIN

Andrew Gaff's decision to square up to a purple-clad auskicker at half time inspires a second half comeback from an unusually quiet Freo midfield. Adam Cerra continues his stunning run home, cementing his Brownlow favouritism.

Hawks - away - LOSS

Seriously, * Tasmania and everything about having to fly and play there.

Swans - home - WIN

Bradley Hill 30 touches. Rory Lobb five goals. Sydney no answers. Buddy straight to the high rollers room at Crown, where he's later spotted with what appears to be a lot of powdered sugar in his moustache. The fat bastard loves his doughnuts.

Dogs - away - WIN

In a move teased but not executed until the time was right, Brennan Cox is swung out of the backline. He responds with six goals.

Cats - home - WIN

Stephen Hill dials back the clock to his 2013 heroics, streaming down the Optus Stadium wing on an unopposed 50m run to kick the winning goal for Freo.

St Kilda - away - WIN

Freo records it's highest ever win with an 178-point romp over the hapless Saints. The Saints highlights are later used as b-roll in films designed to horrify teenagers into avoiding alcohol. Hanneberry collects another $253747885 match payment for 14 touches and a goal, and is starting to realise he's on a pretty good wicket.

Bombers - home - WIN

In a performance described as transcendent, Cam McCarthy tops off a season of solid contributions up forward with a career best 14 goals.

Port - away - LOSS

We can't win them all.
