If Preuss does play it'll allow TMac to roam up the ground like he did with Hogan in the team. He will probably get the best defender on him now though.TMac seems to be the forgotten KPF this year. He'll go 100+

I'm just saying that if he does play, he'll be up fwd when not relieving Gawn in the ruck. Where else would he play?I don't know why people think Preuss can be a KPF when he has done nothing to suggest that he can play any position other than ruck, who might* be able to pinch hit as a forward. Weideman came of age when Hoges went down. I expect him to be the man in the Dees forward line by the end of the year. His time is now. Hogan didn't always get the best opposition defender last year either. TMac is a really difficult match up for most defenders.

Its certainly one of the strangest trades of 2018.I'm just saying that if he does play, he'll be up fwd when not relieving Gawn in the ruck. Where else would he play?
If he doesn't play, it's got me buggered why he would leave North to be a further 3 years away from being a first ruck.
You are right! Locked in for F4. Averaged 92.8 for 2018 if you take out outlier scores of 43, 60, 53, 36, 54, 59, 44! 44 was in SC GF!

.. and then there's Richmond with GriggEvery roster should have a back up ruck who is good enough to be a starter, doesn't mean you play both in the same team just because you have them. Club probably thinking they can turn him or Maxy or both into R/F's. I don't like it.
.. and then there's Richmond with Grigg![]()
Our sexiest small defender since ButlerYeah, naaaahhh....He has a splendid pr0n mo, but this Premiership player is betterer.![]()

He can clean my pool any day of the week and twice on Sunday’s

Agreed...So WAT were Norfz thinking?Every year top 8 teams with the right age/talent/depth lists try to emulate the premiers.
Richmond copied the Dogs from the year before.
We bought in a heap of smalls to copy them but unlike the rest of the comp both us and Collingwood played two ruckmen week in week out.
Now teams like Melbourne, Geelong want to copy us. Both recruited decent rucks who are ready to go.
Pruess plays FF and chops out for Gawn. Playing him means teams have to put a decent key back on him in the goal square at every centre bounce.
Frees up McDonald.
Geelong same with Hawkins.
Collingwood already do this and it worked beautifully against the undersized Richmond in the prelim.
Crows did in 17 and got them Chol deep into the finals.
All the other teams are trash or are trying to win one the Western Bulldogs way IMO
This is lolnorff we’re talking about.Agreed...So WAT were Norfz thinking?
Yeah good points. If u look at the preliminary final especially, Lycett and Vary worked Gawn over, restricted him to 36 hit outs, 11 disposals (9 and 5 less than season avg.) and probably had an influence on the result.Every year top 8 teams with the right age/talent/depth lists try to emulate the premiers.

My point was having two rucks with the new rule is an advantage over a Nank/Grigg setup as well as working over the first oppo ruck. How does grabbing it out of the ruck affect SC scoring?
Ruckman who play like onballers (Grundy Stef Krooz) will benefit from this I reckon. Will increase their contested possession numbers. My point was having two rucks with the new rule is an advantage over a Nank/Grigg setup as well as working over the first oppo ruck.
It could however affect SC scoring if rucks manage to grab it and get an effective disposal off. It could lead to higher disposal numbers of rucks. Or it might not, we will see, but that wasn't the point I was trying to make.
