Why is Worpel a trap for?

Someone for you guys has to get the ball out of the guts every week and he looks like the man you have to do it.
Ha! Just sarcasm. Sorry mate forgot you missed all the offseason posturing around here. I was a Worpel fanboi trying to get everyone on board. I'm well and truly claiming him.

if he averages over 90

Some advice please..

Is it a burner trade to go TLynch -> Worpel now?

Or am I better off waiting til after Round 2?

Wait till after round 2.

Worpel could get injured this round and then you'd be screwed!

What was the thinking behind picking Lynch if you were going to trade him round 1? Off a slow preseason and no confirmation he`d play in the AFL round 1 until about 5 days out?

If you started I think you have to cop the 50s and 60s so as to not miss out on the 130s and 140s. Which are probably months away but should happen eventually.

Saints fans. Has Bruce had a change of role, or is he just on a charmed run?

Lions fans, what's the deal with Lincoln? Can he keep it up?

Cheers kents :moustache:
Not a Lions fan, but the guy’s a jet, he can definitely sustain it. Just depends on if he can stay fit. History is bleak in that regard.

Btw, can somebody in Adelaide just lowkey kneecap Wines so he stays out and keeps Drew, Rocky and Boak humming along nicely? Our SC sides thank you

So I've panicked and went Worpel to De Goey before RD 1. De Goey kicked 5 and still only managed 82. Doesn't look like he will be getting the midfield time to really boost his scoring... Do i trade him to Worpel or Lycett?

De Goey kicking 5 means he stays up forward. Pies midfield is sorted with Pendles, Treloar, Adams, Beams and Sier.

Regardless, kicking 5 should be at least a 110+ score.

And Worpel 92 and De Goey 82, so it doesn't seem like a must trade situation.

Same role, but seems to be in great form - has increased his disposal tally. Averaged 16 in the first 2 rounds as opposed to 11 in 2017. Has doubled his contested possession averages and contested marks.

Wouldn't bring him in with the view of keeping him all year, but the way he's going could make nearly 100k if that's what you're after.

Goddam. Heeney really is a head****. If he doesn't get fit. He could almost single handedly sink your season.
This. People who are keeping him believe he will come good/fit soon enough. People who are trading him believe it may take him a few weeks to come good and may still yet play a fwd role due to a lack of firepower for the Swans. If you keep him in hope he turns the corner, yet continues to struggle and only averages 80-85 you’ll potentially miss out on 20-25 points a week if you happened to trade to Kelly for example. On the flip side, if you trade him, he could come out this week v Carlton and kick 3-4 up fwd and have 20 touches, scores 120 and is back fully fit within the next week or two. It then becomes a sideways trade, and you potentially lose out on points for the remainder of the year. Who’s to say he gets fit soon, and who’s to say it’s not next week!? It’s a bloody tough decision for Heeney owners

I am about $900 short of bringing in Worpel and Kelly.

So instead, im going Worpel & Boak.

Question - does anyone think Wines return will impact Boaks midfield time? Or is it cut and dry that Boak has just taken Eberts spot through the middle?

Can any cats fans shed some light on the role Dalhouse is playing ?
Playing basically a high half-forward it seems to me, similar to Menegola. Most possies are around the offensive 50 line, but he seems to drift up onto the wing occasionally. His brief is forward pressure though, so 6+ tackles a game as well as several CPs means he has quite a SC-friendly role. Will probably average a goal a game too.

He played a very similar role at the Doggies the 2 previous seasons and didn't come close to averaging a goal a game though. Also he's averaging 8.5 tackles after 2 rounds which is pretty much double his career average, can he maintain those tackle numbers? Because if that drops to 4-5 he's back to being an 80ish averaging half forward.

Dollhouse av 90-100 for four years before stinking it up last season. If he pushes 95 with mid/def for 400k he will be a decent f4-f6 and great bench cover if you can get to full premo. Also, not like there are heaps of forwards who are head and shoulders above him. Danger is clear no1, then you have a logjam of about 20-30 players who could all finish top 6. (boak, heeney, hawk, gunston, darling, wingard, gola, billings, gresham, J Martin, Robbie Gray etc etc etc) Given his previous history of good scoring, and playing a SC friendly role. Im bringing him in, was very close to starting him but such is life.

Dahl was a full time midfielder for most of those 4 years where he averaged 90-100 though. I'm not saying he's a terrible pick, he's good value at his starting price, I'm questioning whether he can maintain his current tackle numbers and 1 goal per game in his current role as a defensive HF when history says he won't. Besides, If I were to have a 2nd Geelong fwd in my team it would be full-time midfielder Tim Kelly who you didn't mention at all in you shortlisted top fwd contenders for some reason even though you follow Geelong. There is oversight but he's clearly a top3 fwd prospect where as Dahl falls somewhere at the tail end of the log jam of 20-30 that you mentioned IMO. Or I could be completely off track and Dahl ends up a top 6 forward which would be a huge win for you and everyone else hitching a ride to his wagon.
