Caleb Daniel is the real deal. Averaging 27 touches and over 100 SC points. Grats to those who started with him
Him and Hurn my only good PODS

I should have had him over Darling, but I thought that the new rules would suit Darling. ******* dog campaigner
The new rules threw everything arse above tit.

Daniel was one of the only picks where I looked purely at his role and didn't worry about the rules. Just has it that the new kick in rule helps with his score.
I just saw a guy with good bloody disposal as a playmaker at Etihad.

SPS was unleashed in the midfield and pumped out a 136. Blues got the win and he was BoG

$435k with a BE of 40, it's now or never

I'm tossing up between him and Witherden

SPS... enjoy that 80-85 average

More than double his average clearances for the year on the weekend. Talented top 10 draft pick, if he plays permanent mid there's absolutely no reason why he can't be a forward keeper and average ~100

Food for though anyway, but 100% disagree with you shutting it down

I just don't see it bud
Blues are bog average on a good day.
Cripps a god, Walsh impressive

The rest, inconsistent meh.

Maybe a blues flavor of the week thread is in order
Fisher
SPS
C.Curnow
Who's next?

I am a (proud) Fisher owner so ive been watching Carlton's centre square setup pretty closely and they rotate a lot of players through there such that there really isn't even a 2nd option that is getting significant time in there. Walsh is probably their 2nd option at the moment while SPS and Fisher get a fair bit of time in there but so do Dow, Setters, occasionally Curnow and very occasionally Gibbons. Murphy doesnt seem to be in the centre square rotation much but he starts on the wing a fair bit. Personally i'm hoping Dow loses some of his minutes given he can really butcher the ball. However, for him to be most useful he needs to hunt the ball so i understand why he gets the midfield time he does. There is basically no point selecting him if he's not going to play on ball.

In the preseason I watched Fisher closely and he got a fair bit of time in the centre so i thought he could make that spot his own given the 6-6-6 should give a player with his skill set a chance to excell...but that hasn't really happened. SPS is a ball magnet but also isnt being given full opportunity due to the rotations. I think almost every team is rotating a fair few players through there, some more than others but i don't see Carlton changing their rotation anytime soon and thus i dont see much upside for any of their mids. While im holding Fisher, i dont see him bumping his average up to anymore than the 90 he is currently on. SPS is probably a similar case. He's not the worst selection but i dont think he is anything more than a stepping stone or perhaps a F7.

Cripps broke out playing in a shit Blues team, so did Docherty. Any reason why you think SPS, Fisher & Curnow can't? They're the right age 21-22...50+ games...they have talent...no reason why one or two or all of them won't take the next step this year.

They're not Cripps
They're not Docherty

I didn't say they were them. You don't know how good they will or won't be, yet you're writing them off already. The year Docherty broke out, hardly anyone started with him or saw it coming.

I am for 2019 yes.

2020 who knows

Menegola averaged 103 in wins + 90 in losses last year (including 1 score of 144)

This is Geelongs draw coming up

Will be priced probably around 400k pre byes.
Only problem is most people will have Danger, Heeney, Telly..

Drew + 50k > Menegola in Rd8 easy step up. Gola can play F7/M9 outrider if he doesn't quite reach the heights of previous years.

Definitely on the watchlist
Uncertainty over his role is annoying though. Cam Guthrie back now and you would assume Constable as well. Tuohy will slot back in. He could honestly find himself dropped if poor performances continue
