Ebert as a forward works. Prior to his concussion, his stats for 2019 were:
Round 1: 23d, 1g, 9 marks, 2 contested
Round 2: 23d, 3.1g, 7 marks 2 contested
Round 3: 14d, 0.2g, 3 marks 1 contested
Round 4: 23d, 2.1g, 9 marks 1 contested
Round 5: 16d, 2.1g, 5 marks 2 contested
Round 6, 21d, 2.3g, 3 marks 1 contested.
I don't see him as a key forward, but by anyone's reckoning that's a solid contribution. I'm only piping up now because as a long time lurker and (very) occasional poster I've certainly noticed an increase in knee-jerk, negative responses on this board. Genuine, constructive criticism is warranted (e.g., f50 entry, forward setup, development of tall forwards, kinkley) but trashing the idea of Ebert as a forward when he was clearly one of our more consistent performers early this year is pretty average.
Who's trashing the idea of Ebert as a fwd?
The trashing is of the idea of Ebert as KEY Fwd
What there does seem to be an increase in is new or rarely used accounts slamming any negativity
