I don't know why people are still annoyed with Shaun Grigg for leaving Carlton.

Frodo Baggins lost his ring to an orc named Dustin Martin.
This goes down as one of those grand finals you never have interest in looking at again once the game was over.
Never even seen the last quarter or much of third and do not think I ever will. Bit like 1988 grand final that not sure I ever watched of once it was over early.
2000, 1988, this and quite of a few of the 2013 and 2014 grand finals I probably have no reason to look at ever again.
From about 3-30 pm Saturday to late Thursday did not watch or tune into any footy news so only in last day and a bit I am getting my head around what the trade talk was last week and back to footy interest.
Man, what a fizzer of a game to end season. These things happen in grand finals every once in a while.
I am not sure how our 1995 one was for opposition fans to endure as when I was at it, we basically knew we had it won about 3 minutes into it. There was not anyone sitting with me that day, that was nervous after a minute or two in. Bit weird to be at a grand final and not have the concern of losing be part of the experience. 1999 was almost opposite. Went to it thinking we were not in top two teams of the year so even though expecting much more likely we lose than win, there was nothing to lose and only the weird idea, s**t, how do we win this when did not even expect to be here ?
When you lose the let down is barely nothing.
1986 and 1993 was other extreme where expected to win and really pi**ed off we did not so the let down is huge.
Oh well, another grand final is done.
Look forward to next decade of grand finals and us being in many of them.
Bring on this new decade.
Yeah, watched those ones live on tv as a little kid and loved the tension of game being up for grabs virtually to the end and the excitement of winning them when not that long ago you not sure what going to happen, it is really exciting way to win grand finals. I think most grand finals this next decade will tend to be closer than not simply because the teams in the league are more even. I expect us to be in a minimum of 3 to 4 grand finals as this decade unfolds. Hope for more and naturally hope to win all but chances are you lose one along the way when in contention.79, 81 and 82 GFs were the nerve wracking one's. 79 we just managed to hold collingwood off after we held a decent lead ar three quarter time on a wet day. 81 we looked to almost be gone close to three quarter time and proceded to run all over Collingwood to win fairly comfortably in the end. Down at half time and then set up the win with a great third quarter in 82 against Richmond.
The atmosphere at those games was electric, traditional rivals playing in front of huge crowds that were made up of more of the passionate supporters and less of the theatre going corporate types.
