Lol, surely you don’t mean Patties Pie that was cm from a no ball for being off the pitch?

As for Jhyes, shows how wrong the BBL umpires were getting it with their crappy wide interpretations, stick to line is so much easier.
Nope. With how strict they are with leg side wides, if they were to stick hard and fast to the offside line as a wide all you need to do is bat just outside off stump and everything is in your hitting zone. If the batsmen move the line has to move.

Great innings from Kohli and Dhoni played a very good knock after sometime. Rahul too showing glimpses of his talent and why India are persisting so long with him but then again had a brainfa*t as usual and threw it away after a good start.

Chinnaswamy has probably the smallest field dimensions in India and sixes are very east to hit here. India have two partime bowlers to bowl 8 overs in Pandya and Shankar and don't have a back up. So Australia should fancy their chances in chasing this total down I reckon.

I'm guessing they didn't go with dorf cause he doesnt like bowling at the end ...?

Also our bowlers need a bit more practise death bowling

Tbh I think you could have 4 part-timers and I don't think we could chase this down with Bumrah bowling. We'll see though.

I was obviously referring to Jhye's, I thought they were very harsh calls.

Not bowling him out earlier was insanity. I'd be comfortable with him being bowled out by the 7th. Better than wasting one of his overs when he's 1/16 off 3.

Disappointing finish. Thought Zampa was brilliant and really put the Australians on top during those middle overs. 3/99 off 14 was under par. Kohli was outstanding.

Don’t think 190 is much over par. Spinners won’t be easy to score off and Bumrah is going to be tough on any surface. Lot of runs out there though. Issue is with the batting ending at 6, they can’t really go gung ho at the start like you typically would chasing this score. Going to need wickets in hand

I don't know why they won't let dorf get some practise bowling at the end. Surely it won't be helpful having a bowler in your team that you are restricting to only bowling in the first few overs

I have no issue with him not bowling out. Score was 3/99 off 14 which was a good position. They went with Coulter-Nile (who was great last game), it didn’t work out. Don’t really want to bowl Behrendorff in the last 5 overs. I’m happy to take the 1/17 as a win and leave his last over in the shed. Same with Short, take his 1/10 off two as a win and don’t bring him back to be slaughtered. Was a really disappointing effort from our finishing bowlers. Both are new to the gig I guess and it’s going to happen, Richardson at least looked like he had plans and was unlucky with that wide call, Cummins was very bad. Astonishing that we couldn’t find one death bowler in the BBL, surely you would find at least one. Tye still looks like the best at domestic level and he was well down on previous years form in my opinion.

serious question... how much worth are you guys putting in the performances of these few t20 for the WC. Or just waiting for the ODI series

He’s had a few chances this summer for Perth and in the ODIs and got slapped. We’ve selected a side with 8 bowling options so it’s not bad to have specialist bowlers for particular parts of the innings. Unfortunately they all seem suited for the earlier overs rather than the death.
