Injury 2019 Injury Thread

Have we heard official word on injuries out of the Prelim loss? Richmond's injuries have been well documented. It seems Geelong players copped or were hampered by injuries too - Guthrie, Danger, Sav. But, understandably, I haven't seen anything on this

Clark with a delayed start to pre-season.

That's not a bad outcome really. If he can put on some size in the weight room an increase his engine then he'll be in a good place come Christmas when things can ramp up for the young lad.

Clark had a delayed start this year to full training when he had Tonsillitis and Glandular Fever that set him back.
Look out when he does get a full pre-season under his belt.

At least he's already had the surgery and they didn't delay that
That's not how it normally works at Geelong, it goes like this
- No appearance by Clark at expected fuller training date
- Crickets from the club
- Mentioned in passing in general club round-up that he had to go back into hospital just after Xmas for "a clean-up"
- Club says he may miss a couple of rounds while he catches up, but the important thing is his welfare, they won't be rushing him
- Expect him to play after the bye, if he can get a couple of 2nds games in

He should have had the surgery the week after he injured it. They delayed it a month in the hope that he'd be able to play with one arm.

He's good. But he's not that good.

Was a farcical move by the club to 'hope' he was going to be right to play. And it ended up being exposed as exactly that when he tried to return in the VFL.

Really glad they've seen the light and are getting his injury properly sorted now without any further messing around. He is the future. Simply must be best 22 every week next year.
