FMD clearly Ferrari and Mercedes have B grade No 2 drivers. Yes Vettell is a B grade driver these days, he's lost his edge. What a waste it is not seeing Daniel Ricciardo in one of those teams. Hopefully Vettell will retire but rather than offer Ricciardo his seat they would probably offer it to another rookie.

They've probably had Schumacher lined up for that seat since birth

ptrg and Dockersman taking a shot at Bottas.

The guy is driving the second best car in the field on this track, he's behind his team mate, and got himself in a position to threaten to win. It was a smaller chance for a win. He can't just fined an extra 100hp.

Hamilton does not want a team mate who can beat him, doesn't suit his persona. Only one of the other top 5 of all time in the modern era has been beaten by their teammate and that was Prost (twice - one by Lauda by half a point and the other by Senna which was controversial given that he scored more points but the rules stated 11 best results counted).

Very mature response from Stroll

Stroll believes the pair should have been treated the same way. “I think it should have been an identical penalty, both a drive-through,” he said. “I don’t know why not.”
“I think that that’s not really fair to be honest because it was exactly the same thing that I did,” he added.

Which is why he was happy with the challenges of Alonso, Button and Rosberg?

Don’t think he was happy with Rosberg. Whinged all that season.
And when it came to the championship race he basically did a go slow trying to prevent Rosberg from becoming champion. Against team orders.
Real team player....
Like most F1 drivers we saw the best, humble version when he first came in and started to make a name for h8mself. Back then he lapped up challenges and rose to meet most of them.
Nowadays, as has been pointed out, he wants the field to part for him and just let him win without challenge.

AS they discussed in the broadcast Vettel can't see shit out of that cockpit and given how far some of the back markers were away - he'd have to wait for 20-30 seconds. Stroll the same thing although probably had a slightly better angle but they fly through the Ascari chicane.

Andrew Benson of the Blows British Cock (BBC) said it was ludicrous as part of his Hamitlon versus Vettel crusade that he has been on for years now and that he should potentially get a grid drop in Singapore and that his Ferrari future now hangs by a thread.

Basically doesn't relish a challenge, doesn't want one. The great drivers will take the challenge and run with it and win. Hamilton deliberately destroys relationships/avoids challenges where possible. Alonso he decided to sabotage, McLaren he decided to ditch once they had Button and Rosberg he disliked for challenging him.

This 'whinge' business is complete rubbish, that Hamilton gets singled out for, even though arguably every driver behaves in a similar fashion (and in fact, whenever this argument comes up about any driver, it's complete Bull). It's as though F1 drivers, in the pressure cooker environment they're in, where they have to toe the company line (really the sponsor line), aren't allowed to show any emotion. Would anyone here care to accuse Senna, Prost, Piquet etc of being melts etc? Because the drivers of that era got into physical punch ups on more than one occasion, and some of them were famous for some outrageous behaviour.

Some of the arguments about Hamilton himself are just ludicrous. I assume you're referring to the final race of 2016, when the constructors championship was wrapped up long ago, and the only thing to settle was the driver's title? Hands up if you'd give up without a fight for the sake of unreasonable and unnecessary team orders.

To respond to some of Bradesman's unusual claims... Hamilton didn't sabotage Alonso, Alonso, it could be argued, melted down and quit McLaren out of petulance. Hamilton didn't quit McLaren because of Button - they were teammates for THREE years, and Hamilton outscored him for two of those three years. He left because he was persuaded Mercedes would be the best team on the grid in a couple of years. Any other argument is just pure nonsense.

Please - he used his long standing relationship with the team to demand the better parts first over Alonso. Hamilton did quit because of Button that one is obvious, he didn't like being challenged and never has, hence why he has Bottas as a team mate this time when Mercedes can afford a bigger fish.

Uh huh... So Alonso wasn't throwing tantrums because the rookie was racing him and beating him, and Mercedes never offered him the opportunity to join an up and coming team? He never out-competed Button in two of the three years they were teammates, including the year he decided to leave?

Got to love Poms who have this magical version of the history, like how they won WW2 and conveniently forgetting Dunkirk.

Blinkered? lel. So that is what you believe. Classic pom.
You've whined like mad over Hamilton's perceived behaviour, spinning every creative narrative possible to paint him in the worst possible light, simply because you're biased. If we follow your logic, then the likes of Senna, Prost, Mansell, Schumacher, Alonso, Vettel... They're all coward's. I bet you won't apply your logic evenly though.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the guy with 81 race wins and 5 championships is a modern great........

You can not like his off track persona that's fine, but questioning his talent as a driver is ridiculous.
