A bit like Turnbull when Abbott was in.Seeing as all we heard in the lead up to the election was people saying they'd vote Labor if Albo was leading a 2022 ALP victory is looking pretty good.

Comes across as more believable that Shifty. Thats something.Seeing as all we heard in the lead up to the election was people saying they'd vote Labor if Albo was leading a 2022 ALP victory is looking pretty good.
Exactly. He's someone that's more appealing to Libs in terms of his personality just as Turnbull was more appealing to greenies/lefies. Doesn't mean Albo is a walk in for the next election though.
Trust you to hate all Labor politicians except the potentially corrupt ones.Listening to Joel Fitzgibbon on 7:30 tonight...wow...how long has it been since we've heard a Labor figure talking like an ADULT and not some snarky far-left teenager talking to their twitter audience for likes?
Joel should definitely nominate for leader. Even I'd vote for him over ScoMo's matey/folksy BS.
Yes. He also arranged dodgy meetings between his brother's company and Defence officials when he was Minister.Fitzgibbon is tainted with the Chinese scandal a few years back isn’t he?

rfctiger74 - are you able to clarify the ALP's factional and chamber rules around leadership?
e.g. it seems clear that Plibersek is ineligible for the Deputy Leadership because she and Albanese are both members of the Socialist Left. However most media outlets are tipping that Wong will retain the Senate Leadership even though she is from the same faction.
I am assuming that this means there is no restriction on both the Party Leader and the Senate Leader being from the same faction?
I am also assuming that the Senate Deputy must come from a different faction to the Senate Leader?
Do state subfactions play into this at all?
AKA, make me deputy leader of the ALP, Albo and I won't snipe you behind your back like you did to Bill.
