Yeah I thought I'd have bombers higher but they dont have the easiest draw! Saying that their was a few line ball games that could easily get them into the 8.

Geelong have an incredibly easy draw. Would be surprised if they miss the 8. They'd have to go backwards quite a bit.

yeah maybe i just dont rate geelong selwood now 30 ablett is done, shit team besides a few. is their draw really that easy? their double ups Adelaide, Hawks, Roos, Sydney, Dogs all but Dogs are 50/50 for mine their home games are alot harder than usual as well with us, GWS, Eagles, Dogs, Sydney and Adelaide again only looks like dogs the only 1 id go got that in the bag. Reckon Crows bounce back next year

Cant say I disagree with any of that!

There seems to be a consistent phenomenon of the 'stickyness' of teams ladder placing for the following year

The good teams are always predicted to stay more or less good, where as in reality there's always 1-2 dramatic sliders and a few risers

Who the hell would have predicted WCE to win the flag after fluking a finals win against Port the year before after the siren, then getting obliterated by the rampaging GWS and losing a bunch of 'key' veterans

Or Bucks finally turning it all around with a complete lack of KPPs

And yet every bloody year people are fearing the GWS 'juggernaught'

My prediction: Dees Premiership

Yeah exactly, I was just having a conversation with a mate an hour ago about the foolishness of these ladder difficulty ratings. Obviously they take things into account like days break, travel etc, but its mostly a prediction on which teams will be how good ... and as you said, if someone this time last year predicted West Coast and Collingwood would be grand finalists, they'd be locked up! Likewise you'd be hard pressed to find a predicted Top 8 that didn't feature Adelaide.

Its those reasons, that I probably won't bother with the Ladder Predictor at this point!

Exactly

Dees Premiership confirmed

Brisbane have a relatively easy run. If they improve again next year they should be nipping at the Eight

I think there is way too many puzzle pieces still missing to be making a confident ladder prediction at this stage.
Hell yes but the whole idea of an early online prediction is to go for broke then later deny what you said and hope nobody has the time or energy to search back your earlier posts. There is a level of risk but fewer get caught then you might think

I’m not smart enough to view the entire ladder on my screen..... I also didn’t change the margins. I can’t see the Bombers having a bad year unfortunately and I’ve stayed pessimistic on our chances against the Pies/Eagles/Tigers. The bottom 8 is easier

I’m probably the least informed person to ever complete this, but it was a lot of fun anyway:

Maybe it's the old pessimist Dees supporter in me, or maybe it's the fact we struggled to beat top teams last season, but with what looks like a very tough draw, and teams around us really improving their lists, we are going to have to find another level with a good run of injuries to be up there again. Petracca and Weideman are absolute keys to a successful season IMO. If both reach their potential, we are absolutely a big chance to go very deep.

We beat 5 out of the top 8 teams this year
