Felt like an open tour but then ended with basically the same old result

It was different, in that we didn't have the bots botting on the front, and boring everyone to death. It was also different in that there were 2 genuine challengers to the title (Pinot & Alaphillipe), though both challenges fell apart in the end.

It would have been very interesting if Pinot hadn't torn a leg muscle.

Maybe but reflecting back it felt like they just cruised along, let Allaphallipe have a bit of glory knowing they would cruise to victory anyway

Bernal wouldn't have been in the team if Froome was there. He was a late replacement, after Froome fell off his bike and went to hospital.

I can see Thomas being booted to the Vuelta/Giro leadership, instead of the Tour team.
