Went Fritsch, Hannan, Lewis & KK

Lewis probably deserves to start the season, but would hope Hunt pushes him out early.

would like to see some strong pre season form from Kk but out of necessity he starts.

I can't put down KK as I haven't seen him play for us and he isn't a walk up start. May, who I did vote for as a defender will be part of the 22.

I think KK might play rd1 but has to prove hes best 22.

I went with:
INT: Firtsch | KK | Frost | Lewis

I had to vote for Fritsch and KK as I had them in my team.

I would have voted for:
INT: Jones| Hannan | Frost | Lewis

My team so far:
FB: Jetta | May | Lever
HB: Hibberd | OMac | Salem
C: Brayshaw | Harmes | KK
HF Melksham, T McDonald, ANB
FF Petracca, Weideman, Fritsch
R: Gawn | Viney | Oliver
INT: Jones| Hannan | Frost | Lewis

E: Nick Smith | Nick Smith | Nick Smith | Nick Smith

I’ve gone Lewis Spargo KK and Hannan. Fritsch very stiff to miss. Maybe he’ll be in instead of KK. I can see Fritsch being best 22 I think. I can see Lewis play every week. I also have a feeling they’ll trial Pruess for the start of the year.

I’d honestly never heard of this Kol-wazzit bloke before 4 weeks back - now he’s best 22. Solid off-season effort by this unknown guy.

Also thanks Headless. A fine job once again.

Team looks pretty bang on. I'd personally have Hannan in for KK (I'd like to see how he goes in VFL given he was close to delisting at the worst club in the league) and probably juggle positions around but as we've learnt last year the teamsheet itself means nothing.

I said this in your defender thread, but I think Horne will be one of the biggest surprise packets in the whole of the afl next year. He was the mature ager I wanted Freo to get and after reading some draft summaries of his games the reports reminded me a ton of what was written about Tom Stewart his draft year in that he simply did not get beaten in one on one contests and he can play both a shutdown or an attacking role on both smalls or third talls.
With that in mind (and knowing I have less knowledge than Melbourne supporters here.)
Im tipping
FB: Horne May Lever
HB: Hibberd O.Mac Jetta
C: Salem Viney Jones
HF ANB T.Mac Fritsch
FF: Petracca Wedieman Melksham
R: Gawn, Viney, Oliver

Int: Harmes, KK (playing on a wing) Hannan, Lewis

Other predictions
Hunt to come in for Lewis if he comes back to form and can spend time on a wing or Lewis slips in outbut a bit. Preus to be given a chance to prove himself early on in the year. Im not sure how that will go. One of Harmes, Viney, or Brayshaw to start on the bench to allow you to have three of your four gun inside mids onball on the field for as much as possible.

I'm assuming you're referring to Marty Hore (not Horne). I'm coming around to this view myself. I can see him getting a good shot early in the season with Lever now expected to be available from about round 9 or so. I think Hore could slot straight in for Lever. Then it's up to Lever to get the spot back.

I was surprised that you had left Brayshaw out of your 22, but then you had him in the comments so I'm guessing that was just an oversight?

HF: Jones Weid Melksham
FF: Trac TMac ANB

I probably think a bit differently now. But want to compare against this thread.

Sorry to intrude folks. Filtering through each club's best 22's and giving my thoughts as well.

Feedback is appreciated.

My interchange (in no particular order) from the voting options available was Spargo ~ Lewis ~ Fritsch and Kolodjashnij.

The interchange in my own best 22 (in no particular order) is Spargo ~ Lewis ~ Jones and Vandenberg.

Spargo and Lewis were the 2 I have matching. Spargo as the 7th FWD, Lewis the 7th DEF.

Jones is my 7th MID and depending on structure of inside/ outside mids maybe starts on the field. I've gone for Kolodjashnij on the left footers wing instead with Harmes on the other.

Fritsch I have at HF in the starting FWD 6 instead of Vandenberg. AV could become another player however, maybe Pruess if the 2 ruck structure is preferred.

F: Oliver Gawn Gus

Int: Lewis Hannan Hunt Jsmith

glaringly obvious exclusion is Trac, in hindsight would probs include him and drop sprags to interchange in place of someone.
